Welcome to the blog, sort of like a digital garden where dreams are planted and grow wild! My name is Quianna and my family calls me “Qui” like key! I’m a traveling photographer based in Scottsdale and the Bay Area.
I love adventures and creating memories even more than I love photographing them—and I LOVE taking photos! In addition to capturing weddings, family milestones, and the best memories I also offer business tools, motivation and inspiration to help creatives turn their passions into their profession. We only get this one life, why not live our days doing what we love?
5 Year Series | 5 Business Tools I Can’t Live Without
When I first started my business I relied on my “creative eye” and friendly smile… soon that wasn’t enough! I had to step up my game to lean into being a professional instead of just a girl with a camera that works at Trader Joe’s! I needed systems, tools and programs to help my passion match my professionalism. Thanks to these tools I’ve been able to reach these goals and continue being my own boss! Here’s just a handful of faves I use daily.
Showit
WELCOME TO MY HOUSE! My online, digital home to welcome couples, clients, creatives and all my future inquiries. Showit is not just a website… with Showit I have an entire community of entrepreneurs, small business cheerleaders and friends that truly want us all to succeed! With Showit and their easy, drag and drop website builder my passion meets professionalism. Social media is great and you need to be active on those accounts, but your website is your home. You own it! Thanks to Showit my website and blog are seamless and truly express my business in the best light! Google hosts my domain address and WordPress is where my blog lives.
I recently invested over $5k to have Sarah Ann Design sharpen my brand vision and build out my entire custom website! Everything from colors, fonts, custom pages, logos and all the tiny details are thanks to Sarah! Yes, it’s an investment, but SO worth it!!!
Honeybook
Gone are the days of waiting in the parking lot after a photo shoot, hoping the Mom will remember to pay me! Thanks to Honeybook, my contracts, invoices, payments, emails and scheduling are all in ONE location! Being able to present clean, user friendly files and to accept payment online has launched me from a hobby photographer to going pro! Not only does Honeybook offer incredible tools at my finger tips, it also comes with a creative movement and support system called, Rising Tide Society! This community has kept my business breathing and feeling inspired for over 5 years! Plus, it helped me reach 6 Figures!
Email marketing just got a whole lot easier and prettier! I LOVE Flodesk and the easy, drag and drop emails so I can stay connected with my couples, offer education for creatives and keep my people up to date with my adventures. I love this tool so much! Even Mama is using it for her oils!
This tool is a bit old school, the oldest tool in my bag! This online system keeps my receipts, expenses, income and payments organized for taxes. It’s not sexy or fun, but it gets the job done! I couldn’t stay sane without Quickbooks!
Canva
This is the secret weapon behind my pretty insta stories, post cards and instagram posts! Love the ability to drag and drop images for both online and offline marketing! Canva makes it super easy to stay on brand and share your heart!
There are tons of comparable systems, programs and options like the ones listed above, but these are my tried and true favorites! One of the biggest benefits of these systems are the communities that come with them! Surrounding myself with like-minded creatives that share my wildest dreams has been a game changer while I’m working as a full time photographer, dreamer, and educator.
