Welcome to the blog, sort of like a digital garden where dreams are planted and grow wild! My name is Quianna and my family calls me “Qui” like key! I’m a traveling photographer based in Scottsdale and the Bay Area.
I love adventures and creating memories even more than I love photographing them—and I LOVE taking photos! In addition to capturing weddings, family milestones, and the best memories I also offer business tools, motivation and inspiration to help creatives turn their passions into their profession. We only get this one life, why not live our days doing what we love?
IGTV | 5 Ideas for Creatives | Scottsdale Photographer
IGTV IS WHERE IT’S AT! I can’t believe the amount of engagement and views I have been catching through just a handful of IGTV posts!
Instagran TV – It’s like their platform for “youtube” videos! Each video must be a minimum of 15 seconds and last no longer than 10 minutes. Some of the larger, verified accounts can go up to 60 minutes! But most of us are cut off at 10 minutes.
Why should you be creating a bank of videos?
Well, first of all – they’re easy, engaging and currently (although the platform changes daily) Instagram is BOOSTING awareness! IGTV videos are bumped to the top of scrolls and will get more eyeballs on your account!
Also, by creating a library of videos you’re giving your following and potential customers a good excuse to “netflix and chill” your insta! Give them video after video of content that they’ll be excited to tap through and view!
Having a bank of resources also helps with your credibility! Imagine coming across a business page all about decorating your home on a budget! If they only have regular posts and captions with DIY hacks here and there, it may be helpful for the viewer… but imagine clicking through to see a dozen videos all about mini make overs, Ikea furniture hacks, tips for hanging photos and much more! That’s where the engagement kicks in and makes the business owner even more credible.
5 IGTV Ideas for Creatives
Okay, now that you know why they’re important let’s get to making them! Here’s 5 quick and easy ideas or topics to start creating for your business today!
ONE | Share About Yourself + Your Business
This will be like your “About Page” in your IGTV lineup! Introduce yourself, pronounce your name and share about who you are and what you do! Share your passion and give your followers a chance to “get to know you!” before they even meet you in person. This builds trust and turns your pretty squares into a REAL human behind the screen!
TWO | Your Services
Share about your business, the services you offer and the products you’re excited to share about! What makes you stand out as a business owner in your niche? What do you offer EXACTLY? Where are you located? Are you available for travel?
THREE | The Experience
What does it look like working with you? What do your dream clients get to look forward? How does it work? What does the booking process look like? How do you run your business? What’s important to you while working with clients?
FOUR | BEHIND THE SCENES
Share an IGTV about your working space! Do you go to locations or venues to work? Do you have your own studio? Work from home? Share some behind the scenes clips during an entire client experience. Shed some light on how you work and the process of your services.
FIVE | Q+A
Create IGTV videos that answer your frequently asked questions or FAQ! Answer one at a time to build up your IGTV library or bundle a couple of similar questions into each video! Maybe these are questions that come directly from past clients or some that you just make up to help clarify your services. These Q+A videos could directly relate to you and your business or you could even elaborate and offer insight or share experiences about other industry questions. For example, maybe you’re a wedding florist… It might be a good idea to share versatilely and inspiration from multiple wedding arbors at the same wedding venue! This is highlighting your work, but also marketing for your favorite wedding venue as well! Just get creative!!!!
Creating videos can be scary, I know! As long as you remember that the whole point of creating these is to offer resources and guidance for your dream clients! They’re out there… I PROMISE! You just need to boost your brand awareness and give them a reason to learn more about you!
