Welcome to the blog, sort of like a digital garden where dreams are planted and grow wild! My name is Quianna and my family calls me “Qui” like key! I’m a destination wedding photographer based in Scottsdale and the Bay Area.
I love adventures and creating memories even more than I love photographing them—and I LOVE taking photos! In addition to capturing weddings, family milestones, and the best memories I also offer business tools, motivation and inspiration to help creatives turn their passions into their profession. We only get this one life, why not live our days doing what we love?
KEY TIP: 5 Things You Need Ready to Copy and Paste Into Your DM’s
As a business owner I’m sure you get asked a lot of the same questions, over and over! When you get these questions it can be easy to send an auto response asking them to send you an email… but what about giving them exactly what they’re asking for without them having to leave instagram and sending them on a hunt trying to find more details?
After years of whipping up quick responses and trying my hardest to answer every single DM, I finally realized there’s about five consistent topics I get asked often and I bet you do, too!
These copy and paste must haves will not only save you time, but HELP your potential clients as well. Keep them engaged, interested and informed without burning yourself out!
These are all subjective and you can apply any of these to your own business, maybe even add more! But I found that having these three, locked and loaded responses have helped my communication and client experience BIG TIME!
Create beautiful and informative pricing guides that you can instantly share about your services. Maybe you want to hook them and start a conversation before spilling all of the details? That’s great, only share starting price points for now… but having a quick response with information on how to find you, learn more and easily book you is what’s most important! Keep it simple.
I like to call these your showcase blogs. If you’re a photographer and brides ask for more information about your portfolio or maybe vendor recommendations, these are PERFECT to quickly send! Send them your shiny and pretty blogs when they ask to see more. Don’t just send them to your website or respond, “Link in bio!” Do them a favor and share the direct link. I suggest picking about 3-5 that you are really proud of and can personalize to each DM based on their questions.
This is a great way to share key tips about your services that you often get asked about. Questions like… Where are you located? What’s in your bag? What’s your favorite wedding venue? Take a peek at the stats on your blog and what has the most views! These are your signature blogs and I’m sure you get asked about them often. Basically your FAQ (frequently asked questions). Be prepared to fire away when these questions come up.
This is a great excuse to share about upcoming sales, mini sessions, promotions and events that you’re excited about! Send them directly to the blog, website or booking link. Have these prepared in advance so when you post insta stories or share about them you’re ready to quickly send these! Also, consider sharing information about upcoming events you’ll be attending, support local vendors and events! If you’re planning to go anyway, extend the invitation.
Have you started sharing videos, tutorials and fun adventures on youtube? Be prepared to send quick links and refer solutions to your youtube page! Maybe you have a video that shares about a recent destination wedding or another video about styling details? Have these video links and a sweet message ready to send ASAP!
I hope these inspire you to get a bit of work done up front so when you’re slammed and unable to spend extra time in your DM’s you’re well prepared to help your potential clients! Grow your engagement by responding within the app and always being a resource for your followers. They’ll appreciate your attention to detail and be excited to work with you!
Cheers to running businesses that don’t run our lives!
