Welcome to the blog, sort of like a digital garden where dreams are planted and grow wild! My name is Quianna and my family calls me “Qui” like key! I’m a traveling photographer based in Scottsdale and the Bay Area.
I love adventures and creating memories even more than I love photographing them—and I LOVE taking photos! In addition to capturing weddings, family milestones, and the best memories I also offer business tools, motivation and inspiration to help creatives turn their passions into their profession. We only get this one life, why not live our days doing what we love?
Weddings come and go within a blink of an eye! Don’t let these moments crush your day and add stress to the chaos of your wedding.
Cards and Gifts
Now, I’m not talking about being a slow reader over here… but cards and gifts really do take more time than you think! Create extra time to enjoy reading cards or even whipping up quick thank you cards! Maybe you already gifted your bridesmaids and groomsmen their gifts at the rehearsal, but keep in mind Aunts, godparents and even your friends may surprise you with sentimental gifts! Make sure you have time to enjoy those moments and not get UPSET that you’re in the middle of getting your eye lashes applied in a hurry instead.
Eye Brows
Yes, that’s a little extreme… but I mean make sure you have plenty of time for hair and make up! Your glam squad will be professionals, but it’s always a good idea to add an extra hour or two on top of the needed time. You may run smoothly that morning, but a sister or another bridesmaid may not be loving her eye brows, lip liner or braid… add time to feel like a bride and not rushed!
Elevators and Stair Cases
Nobody counts for this EXTRA time! Waddling in your heals across the parking lot or the venue takes way more time than you think! When you look up the google maps ETA, remember that doesn’t include walking to your ride and hiding once you arrive to the church or venue.
Lunch
Make sure you eat!!! A lot of times couples plan breakfast or brunch for the day, but don’t forget a hefty lunch! Sandwiches, protein salads or burritos! It’s important to plan for this ahead of time! Without a little prep you may derail someones else’s schedule and plans for the day, which always ripples to your timeline in some way! For example: If you ask your brother or uncle last minute to run and pick up food he may not have planned for that last minute excursion, bumping back his getting ready time… Ya know what I mean? I’m all about the food and making sure EVERYONE has a stress free day!
Kisses After The Ceremony
There’s this magical time AFTER your ceremony, once you’re officially hitched that becomes this blur or hugs, kisses and champagne clinks! You’ll want TIME with your favorite humans to celebrate without feeling rushed and pushing people away to begin family photos! Believe it or not this part of your day can take up to 15-20 minutes! I promise, you’ll want this buffer added to your day!
You can expect to hear back from me within 24 hours on weekdays! Weekends are reserved for shooting weddings, but I'll be back in a jif to reply to your message!
