Laura and Rachel are a mother – daughter wedding photography team based out of Monterey, California. Together they have turned an opportunity to spend time together as a hobby and make some extra spending money into their full time, successful careers! Within the last couple of years their business has BOOMED! As soon as they announced their first workshop I was sold! I just had to meet them in person, learn more about their story and discover their social media secrets!

Their two full day workshop consisted of laughs, genuine real talk, inspiration and tons of education! The evening before Day One we were welcomed into their home to share a meal and get the party started. This was the best welcome dinner ever! As soon as we were greeted with a smile and hug all of the attendees quickly became friends and toasted to being on this journey together!

Among many of the lessons, tips and suggestions throughout their workshop it was evident that Laura and Rachel are incredibly genuine and simply love hard on their clients. There’s really no short cut to success… Just hard work, consistency, and lots of passion for your profession. Being in their home instantly made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Sometimes hiding behind social media and constantly comparing yourself to others can be daunting and exhausting. Thankfully Laura and Rachel shared their behind the scenes as an example of encouragement and understanding. For this I will be forever grateful and will always refer them for future workshops and mentoring sessions!  You just have to meet them in person to see for yourself!

We even had an opportunity to photograph a beautifully curated styled shoot! During the shoot Laura and Rachel shared tons of posing tips, lighting suggestions and pointers that editors look for to help publication submissions! That was AMAZING!

YES! Laura didn’t hold back anything while sharing (and demonstrating) posing tips!

One of my all time favorite parts of being a #workshopaholic is the connection with photographers from across the country! Simply because we share similar passions, goals and life struggles we instantly become forever friends! To have a bunch of supporters scattered around the country to continue to encourage and just keep it real is refreshing! Love you all and I’m so grateful to have each and every one of you with me on this dream chasing journey…
