Hey, hey, hey, welcome to the party, Natalie. I’m so thankful you can be here today. Thank you. I’m so excited. Yes. Oh my gosh. Well, let’s get into these juicy questions. I love the fact that you are literally tattooing someone’s face with microblading. And so I would love to kind of pick your brain on this process and exactly what happens for you to build that trust and to really be in someone’s really close Space, like right up in their face during the service?
Natalie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I think the trust starts with, it’s always a referral. So it’s usually like somebody got it done and then they refer their sister and then it’s their mother-in-Law and their cousin. So it, it starts with seeing somebody else and going, okay, she doesn’t look crazy, so I’m gonna call that woman.
And then I think my Instagram is basically my portfolio. And although that has shifted into more reels. Before and after photos. I think that’s another place people and women find comfort because they see those before and afters and they go, okay, well that’s not crazy or, you know, too much, and then I’m very personable.
I mean, I’m just, I’m always just chit chatting with people at work. So they come in and I try to just immediately make them feel at ease and let’s just talk about everything because. It is their face and it is important. And I don’t ever want them to feel like, oh my God, this was too much or overwhelming, like I’m definitely like less is more approach trust starts before they even come in and there’s, and everybody’s nervous, every single woman who passes my door.
Is nervous and they all tell me that in the majority of them say the same thing. I’m nervous. I don’t want them to be too dark and I don’t want too much.
Quianna: Yes, and I feel like that’s a perfect example for business all around right? Like gaining that trust Showing up and building that authority with either social media and your website and then most importantly just referral I love that you mentioned like, you know When your cousin goes in to get her eyebrows done and you think wow that actually looks really good and not You Scary or clownish or like, ah, like, why would I ever do that to my face?
Like you’re building that confidence and you’re also kind of creating that referral effect. So your clients are doing the marketing for you. Like you’re creating. Yes, you’re creating little like micro billboards all over these beautiful faces everywhere.
Natalie: That’s exactly what I tell them. Like you are, you know, the best way that I can promote my business is to just talk about me, leave a review, talk about me to your friends, take some of my business cards, because With my business, I don’t see people all the time.
I, so I need constant new clients coming in every week so that I can keep that up because then I don’t need to see them for a year or a year and a half. So I need to, I’m always marketing, whether I’m going door to door and, and hair salons around town or, you know, chatting with people in the DM. Um, I’m always networking and like promoting myself.
Quianna: That’s incredible. And what would you say is your favorite way to market? So like, if you are going door to door, are you just speaking to people? Do you bring pamphlets or papers? Like is this old school kind of like door knocking? What do you love to do?
Natalie: I bring goodies. So, and I think again, that’s Stems from when I was a dental assistant many, many years ago, we would bring treats to different dentists saying like, Hey, don’t forget to refer people to us.
So I’ve kind of taken that into my microblading business and I will bring treats around the holidays or like Valentine’s day is coming up. So I’ll bring little treats, just reminding them like, Hey, I’m here. Don’t forget about me. I do all things. Eyebrows. I’m really good at it. You know, refer your clients and.
And then I just continued out those relationships with people all over and not even always in the same town. I have women come from all over.
Quianna: That’s incredible and such an easy way to market yourself, get your name out there. And, and I love that you mentioned you’re kind of like, I would call it bedside manner.
Like, does that sound silly for a brow artist? Everybody says that. Yep. Yes, because once they come in, right? Like, it’s one thing to create that marketing, to create a magnetic experience to get them in your chair or on your bed. What do you call it? What is your thing called? It’s a
Natalie: bed, but I don’t know if I’d say on my bed.
Quianna: Okay. I was just thinking that sounds kind of weird. Amen. I love that. So, so once they come in and they have that trust, they have a friend of a friend referral or they just instantly feel comfortable in your space. I can, I can only imagine the conversations that you are. experiencing with these women because I truly believe that yes, eyebrows are such an extension literally of our face and of our our well being and how we feel.
But I also feel like you have an opportunity to tap into this self confidence. Like it’s, It’s deeper than just a great set of eyebrows or great skin or great hair. Like, can we tap into those conversations and how you actually are not just a brow artist, but kind of a therapist? Yes.
Natalie: Oh, 100 percent. It goes Deep and usually immediately because once they lay down and they’re, they’re not in control anymore and they have to be vulnerable and I am literally cutting their face and changing the way that they look, all the nerves start to set in.
And some people are like, I totally trust you. You do you, like not worried about it at all, but a lot of us have these control issues and we’re a little bit nervous. So a lot of things come out and I’ve had people be very quiet. I’ve had people fall asleep and I have women who are crying, telling me about a tragedy when they were 10 years old within 15 minutes of laying down.
And again, that stems, that comfortability for me stems from dental because everybody was very nervous at the dental office. So a lot of things spew out or behaviors that they didn’t really like about themselves because they’re nervous or it’s expensive or you know, all the things that kind of. elicit emotions from us.
Um, and so it just all comes out and I’ve had deep conversations about traumas. I’ve shared my own. I share a lot of my own experiences so that I can relate to these people and we can connect on more than just browse. And for me, that just comes very naturally. Like I am, I’m very much an open book. I love to share my story to hopefully inspire others and Create their best versions, even if it’s just brows, even if we’re only together for two hours, once every year, year and a half.
Like I had a woman last week, we, we hugged each other and I looked at her and I was like, I’m so glad I met you. Like, not only like, yes, I gave her eyebrows and she paid me and whatever, but like we bonded and it was over something kind of silly, but I, it was just an instant connection and we’ll never forget each other.
And I cannot wait to see her again, you know, like it’s, and I have women who come in that are like about to go through cancer treatment and in really crappy situations. And so being able to bond and connect with them is like my why of why I do this. It feeds all the things that I need.
Quianna: Yes, and I feel like you’re right like it can literally turn into like a word vomit situation where people are those nerves are racing and it’s funny because I really was just thinking firsthand just in close proximity like when you’re that close to someone’s face.
It can be very intimate. It can be very just close and, um. But I didn’t even realize the thought of them being actually nervous about that, right? Like, the fact that you really are tattooing someone’s face makes it a different game.
Natalie: Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I’m, I’m numbing you. I’m cutting your skin. I’m implanting color, you know, like it’s, it’s, It’s a nerve wracking situation.
Um, and like I said, some people come in and they’re like, I don’t even care, you know, and then other people, I would say more people are nervous. They’re excited. It’s an excitement, nervous, and they trust me, but like, you know, they’re still a little bit freaked out. And usually by the end of it, they’re pleasantly surprised and they’re happy and we’re hugging and all the things.
Quianna: So tell me what’s going through your mind when they’re kind of word dumping on you. Are you kind of like a sponge? Are you taking in this? Like, are you an empath energy with this? Or is your mind ticking going, Oh my gosh, I can help you. Oh my gosh, sister. I know someone that you need to meet. Like, what’s, what’s your thought process while they are kind of spilling their guts to you?
I
Natalie: think
Quianna: it’s
Natalie: a little bit of all of that. It is me listening and like having empathy. Or thinking of ways I’m a fixer. I want to fix you. And, and I’ve learned over time that sometimes people just want to be listened to, they just want to lay down. They want to have good eyebrows when they get up and they just want to be able to talk.
And so I’m a good read on people. And over time I’ve gotten a lot better at that and I will suggest things to people or I will talk, I mean, I. There’s nothing I won’t do in that room. Basically, you know, there are some times while they’re numbing and I’m like showing them how to do a proper lunge or this or that, you know, like, so I, I would, I feel confident saying that they leave with more than just eyebrows, like they leave with brows and confidence, but also like a genuine connection with somebody.
Who gives a shit, you know what I mean? Yeah.
Quianna: I love that so much. So tell me more. I want to like, keep digging into this. Cause I feel like there’s, there’s something hidden under here with these conversations and even your recent pivot or even just a growth and expansion with your business, right? So you’re still, you’re still doing brows and you’re still offering these incredible services.
But there’s something more there, Natalie. So like, can we tap into what is it that you’re offering? What is it that has kind of created this spark based on these conversations with these women?
Natalie: I think, I think for me, it’s just been this intuitive feeling I’ve had probably over the last year of like, I’m meant for more.
I’m meant to make a bigger impact. Like I, Browse is just a way I connect with people, but really at the end of the day, that is me. what gets me high. That’s what lights me up. That is what, that’s my why is connecting. And I grew up having mentors and people that I looked up to. And so I know how that feels being somebody who needs that.
And through all of the healing that I’ve done through my life circumstances, I know that I can take what I’ve learned and give to other people. And I know, That I can help people and make them feel better or be part of the, their, their problem or their solution, you know, and, and work towards that, whether it is through trauma healing, whether that’s through breath work, whether that’s through browse, whether that’s just meeting for a walk or coffee.
Like, I definitely feel that I’m being called and I’m going to step into this new season of. My higher purpose and I got that, um, clarity at the retreat. Like that’s when it clicked in and was like, yeah, of course you’re supposed to go that way. Like, what are you waiting for?
Quianna: Yes. I’m so happy you mentioned that.
That was, We’re already like so intuitive here. You’re already reading my mind. I wanted to ask you about the six figure circle with Felicia Romero. That’s how we met and we connected instantly. And I would love to chat a little bit more about that experience and how it truly like catapulted you. Like, I want to make it perfectly clear.
Like this was already kind of stirring in your mind and in your heart. And I, I, I love that we can connect on that level. Cause a lot of us, even listening, if you’re listening, you’re thinking, wow, that sounds like me. Like, I know I am destined for more. I’m I’m here to make a deeper impact. And the services that I offer currently are just a tool.
Like it’s just a way to spark these conversations and to spark this transformation with clients. So let’s chat about this retreat a little bit and maybe. Kind of go into like, what’s next for you? Like what transformation happened for you?
Natalie: Yeah, that retreat, you know, at first I was a little bit like, you know, like didn’t know what to expect.
I’m sure that’s how everybody feels going into their first retreat. And even like I showed up really late, I got to the house and then was kind of like, okay, you know, and then all these girls came out of the room and it was just like, instant, like, Ashley was there, um, and we were just, so it was there and, and it just started vibing right away.
And then the next day, I mean, I think we all walked in and whatever. And it just, I just knew immediately, these are my people, like I’m at the right place. I can just walk up to somebody and say, hi, I don’t know you. I’m Natalie. This is what I do. This is what I’m here for. I just felt very comfortable right away.
And I think. I hope, I know that that’s part of Felicia’s intentions for that weekend. So she nailed that, like she created this very safe place for us to come into and just explore. And like I shared with you guys, I don’t have a lot of, Like friend entrepreneurs. And so it was so refreshing to be in a room with like minded women where I could say, yeah, I have these huge ideas.
What do you guys think? And is this normal? And everybody’s saying, absolutely. Like, yes, come in. Let’s talk more. And so that was just that icing on the cake for me. And then it was during the breath work session, Where a lot of women were really expressing emotions and getting vulnerable and having like breakthroughs verbally and, and all the things you’re supposed to.
And for me, I’ve done a lot of breath work in the past. So my emotions that I expressed were first off, I started laughing because it was this aha moment that I had during that session of like, Natalie, this is where you’re supposed to be. Like, this is what you’re meant for. And I, it was, I like hysterically started laughing and was like, okay, like, yes, this is what I will do then, you know, like it was, It was a calling.
Quianna: Yes. And I love that too, because that’s the magic of showing up and getting yourself in the room, right? Like taking that risk and maybe even having to invest, actually spend a little money, get a little bit of skin in the game to just be there. And I love that you flew out, right? Like you’re from Northern California and you flew out here to Arizona for the weekend.
And even that can be nerve wracking showing up into a room with ladies that you don’t know. And, and I know even from the past, this is like, circa like 2012, right? I remember going into rooms and thinking, Oh my God, these girls are so skinny. They’re so beautiful. They make so much money. Like I don’t belong here.
Like, this is crazy. And then flash forward to today and I walk into the room and I’m thinking, Oh yeah, like I can’t wait to serve them. Like I know I’m here to help them and here to grow and just amplify this energy. And that shift comes when you build that confidence and when you show up to these events.
And I’m just, I’m just so grateful that you were there with us.
Natalie: Absolutely. No, I know they were all in that group together where I did individual, like one on one coaching with Felicia. So I didn’t know that they were all like. Models, you know, like I would start talking to people and they’re like, Oh yeah, I’m a fitness model.
And I’m like, Oh, you do shit. Okay. I bonded with you in a way where I was like, I, I’m not a model. Like I’m not, I’m just Natalie.
Quianna: Yes, exactly. Oh my gosh. And yet they were still so welcoming, so excited, so ready to just light your ideas on fire and actually, you know, and to think and to think bigger. I think that’s one thing too, like not only to get out as we are starting to build our business, expand, really get into this growth mindset, but then also surround yourself with people that look at you and say, your ideas are too small.
Like try again.
Natalie: I think I had some imposter syndrome, like when Lindsay Schwartz walked in or, you know, these people where I’m like, Oh my gosh. But then I had a moment of like, Natalie, you put yourself in the room with these people, you’re doing something right. Like take a moment and just feel that and like yourself for that.
And that took me a minute. And, but I love the transition of it. I love the learning that I got from that. vulnerable moment of being like, I don’t belong here or, you know, whatever that was. And then the other side of that is saying, girl, you put yourself in this room, you belong here. And that felt
Quianna: really good to actually believe that.
Yeah. 100%. And I even think too. So here’s my kind of like go to after these events, because I often feel so I’m actually happy to have this real, like real conversation with you. I feel like sometimes I get like interview mode and then I’m like, well, let’s just talk. Yeah. So I have noticed in the past, attending other workshops and other conferences, I leave feeling so drained.
Like I literally leave and I’m like, Oh my gosh, I’m so depleted. I want to burn my website down. I have so much to do. I have, I want to change everything. I have a whole new offer suite, new, um, you know, product ladder, whatever we’re calling it. And I just have to attest and share before we move on that leaving Felicia’s mastermind, I felt So full.
I felt so energized and rested, even though I know like we We packed so much education, so much growth, like so many aha moments and even some kind of thought bubbles that made us question things, right? Like we were taking notebooks full of notes and it was just, it was just an interesting dynamic and shift and kind of made me realize to kind of center myself, wait a minute, who am I actually investing in?
Who am I actually learning from? Because we can see these industry leaders online and sometimes after leaving their event, although you may have learned something. The energy exchange is just not there, right? Like it’s just different. So like, how did you feel after leaving this event?
Natalie: I think that’s the powerful thing about smaller events like that, um, is that you get that more intimate time with each other and also staying in the retreat house with some of these women.
Like there’s a few of them that I feel like. We will be lifelong friends, you know, like we connected and, and we’re always going to support each other’s dreams and dream bigger for each other because it’s just the basis of our relationship now. And so, for me, having that be the baseline of our friendship was a frickin game changer, like it’s not this, this.
Like the friends you have from high school or whatever, like these are some elevated people that you’re going to be with. And so I love that event. Like I came home just beaming from that event. Um, I was just vibrating and was like, I got to shift. All these things, but slowly, I’m not a person who’s like, I’m going to do this in three months.
Like I know myself well enough. I have been, I try to lie to myself and do all of that. And there is no point. Like I am slow and steady wins the race. So. I’m going to do these things, but I realized it’s going to take me a while. It’s not like, Ooh, I’m just going to start a podcast and it’s going to be number one and I’m going to be like this influential, you know, Dr.
Joe Dispenza, you know, like I realized that this is all going to take time. And that is okay. And I think that was part of the lesson as well, but there were just so many like minded women there that were just ready to evolve and just had all these ideas. It was. Very inspirational. I think Felicia did an amazing job and found her calling a hundred percent.
Like I so much success to attribute to her myself as well. But like, she was part of that sounding board and she’s just been, she’s a great friend. I really, really enjoy her.
Quianna: Oh my gosh. I love her. She’s my like dream sister. I’m officially adopted as your baby sister. Let’s go. Yeah. Well, it’s
Natalie: nice to meet people offline, you know, cause we all put out like our representatives on, on Instagram, you know, like it’s, it’s part you, but it’s part not, and so it was really great to get to know people outside of that and just meet the real versions of themselves because really that’s what I’m interested in.
I’m not interested in your filtered photo of like, whatever, you know, I want to get to know the real you. And I think that’s also part of what was brought to the table that weekend is we cleared away all that stuff, especially being more in that feminine energy. The first day we got really vulnerable with each other and really open.
And then that was just a great baseline. I think anytime you go through something big or, you know, Not that that was traumatizing, but a big situation with somebody, you’re going to instantly feel connected. You know, it’s like when I delivered my daughter, I love those nurses. I’ll never forget those nurses.
Cause we went through this big thing together, you know, and it’s the same thing. So. I love all those women.
Quianna: Yes. Oh my gosh. Well, one thing I love to do after leaving an event like that, which is literally this mindset shifter, right? Like our, our brains have chemically changed and imprinted on each other.
Now, one thing I love to do is to make one Action plan, like one thing that I’m going to implement because what happens to is not only do you feel like you’ve grown in so many different directions, you’re radiating, and you have all these ideas, but sometimes it can be. like kind of like floundering or kind of make you feel like you’re drowning in all these ideas.
So what was one thing that you took away from this mastermind that you thought, okay, this is what I’m going to prioritize. And how has it changed your business? Like what’s coming next for you? I
Natalie: think for me, my priority has shifted into this next season of business. And it, for what it did for me is it stopped me from being so scared in my other business.
Like It just stopped that scarcity of like, somebody hasn’t booked or I have openings in my schedule and you know, and all of those insecurities I used to have, I just feel much more confident that like, yes, I may not be booked out five, six weeks like I used to be, but that’s okay. And my people are going to come and money is going to be in my account.
Bills are going to get paid and everything is just going to work out. I just. know everything is going to work out now. And that was a huge feeling that I got that solidified while I was there was just, you know, like stop, stop tripping on the past and just focus on where you want to go and don’t always have attachments to everything.
And you’ll just figure it out as you go. And that’s kind of how I’ve done it throughout the years. It’s like, here’s what I want to do. Here’s my big idea. And I’ll just figure it out. As I go.
Quianna: Yes. And I love that. I feel like that’s a tangible action item for all of us, all of us that are listening. It’s like, it always works out.
You do have to put the work in, like you do have to take action and it just always works out. Like you just stop stressing, just do what brings your soul so much joy. And. And put the work in, put some effort in and it’s going to happen.
Natalie: Yeah. You got to trust the process.
Quianna: Yes. Well, one thing I also noticed because after we became friends from this event, of course, we’re following each other.
We’re supporting each other, which is just so incredible. And I love that you went home and hosted a collaboration event and like hosted something. So can you tell us about that and, and why you value community so much?
Natalie: Well, I. Don’t have like what I shared at the mastermind too is like I don’t have a huge community of entrepreneurs So me and a friend decided to put together like just a straight networking group.
Like let’s just get together local entrepreneurs from our town and anybody is welcome whether you’re A microblade artist, a chiropractor, a photographer, a construction worker, whatever you want to do. And so we just hyped, hyped it up on Instagram, talked about it, posted about it a bunch. And girl, we had like a really good turnout for the first one.
And so we had to reschedule our last one. But we’re going to push it out about three or four weeks and redo it again. And it was just such a great networking event. Like we proved the idea that we could do it. And I know there are some other local ones, but I just want to build more community and networking because I know if 15 people are in a room, somehow we’re going to help each other.
Everybody’s going to get their needs met because I know somebody who you need. And so you too should talk or, you know, whatever it may be. So it was just straight networking and it was so wonderful. I love it. I was so just beaming when we left. I was like, I cannot believe we pulled that shit off. Like it worked out so well.
Like we were both so happy.
Quianna: That’s amazing. And I just want to congratulate you. I don’t want to say really fast, but I want to take the time and say congratulations. Seriously, Natalie, for hosting this event. You saw this need in your hometown and your surrounding area. I mean, even for the fact that you flew out here to Arizona to make these connections.
Felt that energy felt that like those vibrations with the collective of us all together in the same room and thought, how can I do this at home? How can I do this at a local coffee shop or maybe a, a local banquet room or somewhere? I know finding locations for these spots can be really difficult and, and you made it happen.
So. Thank you for doing that. Not only for yourself, but also for the locals around. Because sometimes I feel like a lot of us, especially in business, even though we have that gusto and even though we have that grit, we’re always secretly waiting for that invitation, right? Like we’re always waiting to be invited.
And sometimes it takes someone else to just look at you and truly see you and say, Hey, I think you should show up. Do you mind joining us? Right. And, and that can have a huge impact, like huge ripple effect on that, not just that one life, but you know, their family, like their coworkers, like all the things, it’s just so impactful.
Natalie: Yeah, it was definitely a great night. I loved facilitating it and I want to definitely continue to do it.
Quianna: I love that so much. So do you have any coming up soon? Like, what is the structure look like? Is this like a grab a coffee? Are you looking into hosting more events like more paid events? Like what would be on your pipeline for the future?
Natalie: I think we’ll do another, um, free event locally. Um, I don’t think we will do like a paid. Uh, membership yet, but I think so. The first time we met up was just a meet and greet. It was just to prove the concept essentially. So I think next time our plan was to get a little bit more, um, like masculine energy going, like I want everybody and, and I don’t mind talking in front of people.
So I have no problem just standing up and saying, Hey, this is who I am. This is what I do, and this is what I need. And so I want to basically have people do that around the table. So that we can network and put each other in the right directions. Whereas last time it was, we just met up at a brewery, everybody kind of stood around and talked, but the great thing was, is that strangers went up to strangers and started talking, which is.
Huge because that’s really hard for a lot of people and I think we all have this deep need to like Be connected and to be a part of and so I definitely think people felt that so I just want to keep Pushing that energy out there and creating things for people to be Part of it and feel part of it
Quianna: That’s incredible and I would love to kind of like circle back to your brow station, I wanted to call it a bed again.
But yeah, I would love to kind of bring us back into your studio or your salon where you’re You know, you’re actually working on these clients and perfecting their brows. And I just feel like this is a full circle moment for you because like, this is true. Like you are creating this magnet for people to be in your proximity.
And then you have gone out into the, into the world and, you know, tapped into those vibrations, tapped into that higher level thinking. And now you have this beautiful gift to share that with your clients, right? So I would just love to share like, How do we kind of connect the dots here? So like, what’s next for you with actually connecting, whether that’s, you know, sharing these new offers with these clients, like, what does that look like?
Are you getting into coaching? Like, share more about this pivot. I feel like we’re getting somewhere. I just want to like, kind of put the puzzle pieces together. Yeah.
Natalie: So I have already started talking with clients about it, um, about my pivot. And I remind them, like, don’t worry, I’m not leaving this industry right away.
Okay. But I’ve definitely putting it out there with my clients, with my friends. Um, I’m starting to chat a little bit about it on Instagram and kind of make some reels about it. Um, and I’m going to keep just diving in that direction. I. Like I said earlier, I really enjoy connecting with people and browse is just one of the ways that I do it, but I’d love to connect on this deeper level and help women really find the root cause of whatever is stopping them or holding them back or, or making them feel less than, or not secure in their relationships or as a parent or, you know, whatever their issue is.
I think it all stems back to a lot of childhood. Stuff. And I have definitely had my fair share and I worked really hard to, to, um, heal from those traumas and get past them. And I think that if I can do it, why can’t somebody else, you know, like if somebody is desperate enough and wants it bad enough, they’re going to do it.
And that’s where I want to come in and be like, I can help. Because once you’re past that, and not that we ever get past everything, but once you’re on the other side of that really hard, vulnerable, uncomfortable work of like the inner work, Life’s so fucking great over here. It could be sure. We all have our hard days and our good days and I’ll fight with my husband or my kids are bothering me or whatever, but like, I’m so much better and I’m so much more fit dealing with it now than I was before I didn’t work on these issues.
So that, that is my goal. That is where I want to step in and maybe a podcast coming up soon. We’re going to have to flip this around. So I’m really excited about that. And I’m just going to keep on going in that direction. Cause I know that’s where I’m meant to be. And I know everything’s going to work out the way I want, because I’m going to work hard and I deserve it and I desire it.
And the law of attraction is there. So I’m going to go for it because. Why not?
Quianna: Yes, that’s so beautiful. And it really is a gentle reminder for all of us listening that if you have this, this pull on your heart, right, if you have this vision of helping others, and even though you may not know exactly what your next step is, just knowing like the direction you’re going is going to help.
And, and I love that you’re being so open to different tools, right? Like you mentioned breath work, right? You’re mentioned like, Healing some past traumas and these different things. Like right now you’re developing this beautiful toolkit to actually help anyone that comes your way. And, and it’s, it’s mind boggling to me.
I know you mentioned kind of like, you know, once you get to the other side, like, We’re never, ever like fixed, right? Like there’s always something to heal. There’s always something to grow or patch. And I just feel like it breaks my heart to know that there are, there are so many people that are just living life.
Like they’re just like going through the mundane. They’re being very reactive to things, which I mean, in all honesty, that was me a couple of years ago. Like I’m just now trying to kind of. Get ahead of the train instead of just pushing it. Right? Like, so I just think that’s so beautiful that you are creating this space where people feel vulnerable.
They feel comfortable to share these like deep dark secrets with you. And then you’re also able, like, you’re also able to create that pathway. Yeah, just creating, I don’t know, just creating more bliss, creating more direction and truly healing. So I’m just so excited for you and all your clients.
Natalie: Yeah, me too.
I think digging deep down and getting to the core issue of people’s problems is part of my calling. And I and I can only say that because I’ve been through that. I’ve been very low in my life. I’ve been very uncomfortable. I’ve not liked who I am. And I’ve changed all of that. And I wouldn’t change one thing that’s happened.
I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t change one thing. I’m very satisfied in my life and I feel 100 percent certainty that it’s just going to keep getting better and better. And so I know that other people can feel that and I hope to help them in that journey. And we’re never cured, right? Like we’re never, you know, like you just have to learn how to ride the waves.
And it doesn’t have to always be overwhelming and uncomfortable. And, um, I think even when people are at those lows or like you were mentioning a few years ago, like being reactive, that is just part of the healing journey. So like you’re on the right track. That is just, that’s how we do it. Like you have to go through those.
You have to be that person you don’t want to be so that you realize that. And then you can step in, you know, to this new person, but you have to be okay with letting that go. Really letting that go and moving forward and not looking back. Yeah. But not on the future, you know, it’s easy for us to trip and be like, I want all these things and dah, dah, dah, you know?
Oh yeah. So it’s. being present, staying in the moment, really, that’s all we have. And I think people get caught up in like, you should do this and you should have this lemon water every morning and exercise and you know, it’s so easy to get caught up in everything we should do. And sometimes you just need to be quiet and be in the moment because that’s all that you have.
Right now is this moment. So, so, so stay in that and be grateful for that. So
Quianna: yes, absolutely. And it is, it’s that permission to listen. It’s a permission to pause and to tap into how you’re feeling. And, and I feel like I’m so grateful to have this conversation with you, Natalie, because I do, I feel like a lot of us can get stuck in these like vanity metrics, right?
Where it’s like, Hey, like, you know, I need to feel more confident. I need to feel more beautiful. Like let’s go into the salon. Let’s do my eyebrows. Let’s get some lashes. Let’s plump my lips. Like all these people are running to these things where inevitably like, yes. You need to go do those things if they make you feel beautiful, make you feel like the best version of yourself.
But like, there’s also so much more rooted in that, right? Like there’s so much more rooted and I love that you are creating that space for that.
Natalie: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think you can tell a lot from a person and. Their physical and what they look like. And I can only imagine that’s hard because you are a photographer.
So you’re around like crazy, beautiful women all the time that are all dolled up for their, their session with you. So it’s, it can be a lot. You just have to stay grounded and have a good head on your shoulders and not get caught up in the hype because it doesn’t really matter. Do you think anybody really cares that?
Your blush looked perfect or that that highlighter was there that your lips were filled or you know, like, does it even matter?
Quianna: Yes. Well, and I love that you mentioned that too. Cause for me, like for you and your brows and your microblading, for me, that’s my camera, right? Like that’s my tool. Like that’s my connection point and creating these relationships.
And you’re right. Like people can have it all together, but inside even the most beautiful, perfectly fit women, like we still have our insecurities. Like there’s still a lot of, you know, a lot of confidence issues to overcome. And I just, I love that because I know as confident as you are to be like, Oh, I got you, girl.
Like, this is my, my arena. Like, I know this, like, that’s how I feel about photographing and making women and everyone feel comfortable, comfortable and confident in their own skin. So yeah, I know.
Natalie: Yeah. It doesn’t mean that we don’t have our own struggles, you know, And so I think that that’s part of just seeing people for who they really are.
And I think that is freaking beautiful more so than a face full of makeup and, and all the things. And that is what you exude a hundred percent. Like I was just making a video before filming this and I was like, she’s like a warm hug from your mom. You know, like she is this comforting, like, Hey, like you just You give off such, you just have a way of making people feel so good about themselves without even trying where I’m more like, no, like it’s just, you know, and we’re all so different and we bring different things to the table.
And that is just beaming out of you at like a thousand miles an hour. Like that is your beauty. And it’s just, it’s like. It is breathtaking. It is like a hit of sunshine and it just comes right out of you. So thank you for being that way and bringing that energy even to the six figure circle or just watching you online or your podcast or just filming this.
Like it’s, I feel that with you and I, I need that because I, I lack some of that coziness sometimes and. I like getting it from other people. , I get that from you.
Quianna: Yes. Well, thank you so much, Natalie. That was the sweetest. I didn’t tell her to say that. Guys, thank you so much, , but I love to ask all of my guests, uh, what is your key tip, Natalie?
What is something that you wish you knew sooner? Something to share with entrepreneurs today?
Natalie: Um, I think for me, it’s about the law of attraction. I recently learned about, um, the law of attraction and the book, The Gift, and just attracting what you want and putting it out there and not just, you Not just manifesting because it’s so much more than that.
Like I don’t want to just sit there and go, I want this and, and, and do mantras in the mirror. I mean, embodying deep down what you want out of life and. Almost like quantum leaping that into your next experience. And, and really, I, I never thought about that. I didn’t know anything about that. I didn’t, it was just never in my realm.
I never heard anybody talk about that. And about, The last year or so I’ve been reading that book and just, and, and thinking more about the woman I want to be, the entrepreneur I want to be, the mother I want to be, and really just trying to embody that in everything that I do. And I slip up. And I yell at my kids and all the things again, there’s no, there’s never, there’s no perfection, but that whole part of just like manifesting what you want and realizing the power of thought.
That is what I would love to share with people. And hopefully somebody younger or maybe who doesn’t know their way yet really takes that in and realize that’s a powerful tool more so than like, I need to learn how to edit an Instagram reel or post this or whatever, like your internal work that you need to do.
And just feel the confidence that you can do anything that That is what I think will bring the best value to your business and to yourself and your personal brand, you
Quianna: know? Yes. Oh my gosh. So beautiful. So like perfectly said, I completely agree. It’s, and just like we mentioned before, it’s like getting to the root of it, right?
It’s like, wait a second, like we can chase these trends. We can drink our lemon water, like you mentioned. We can do all these different things, but If we don’t truly believe it in our soul and we don’t take action on that and live it as if it’s already ours, it will never happen. So yes, exactly. Yeah. And I don’t,
Natalie: and you know, like I’m living as though I’ve already made it and that doesn’t mean like I drive a Lamborghini.
That just means my mind, not that I’d even buy that car, but that means my mindset is there. Like I’m already doing these things. I’ve already retrieved these things. So I’m just going to keep on going. What is next? And within my podcast, my tagline is going to be a bad word. My tag. Fuck it. I love it. That has just been part of like, I’m going to go for this.
Fuck it. I’m going to do this. Why not? You know, like that is part of it. And so I think that’s all part of just manifesting what you want and, and think about what you want.
Quianna: So incredible. I cannot wait to listen because we all need a little bit more of that energy in our life. Yes. Oh my gosh. Well, thank you so much.
So much, Natalie, I feel like we picked up lots of words of wisdom from you and really just a reset. Right? Like no matter what business, what service you’re providing, what offers you’re offering or big pivots that you’re making, it always goes back to your root. It always goes back to your why and, and feeling that confidence from within.
So thank you so much. Thank you.
Natalie: I’m so grateful. I’m so happy to see you. Yes.
