As business owners and entrepreneurs, we don’t really have a ladder to climb like the corporate world. And if I’m being really honest, we set crazy high standards and really high goals to achieve for ourselves, but rarely make the time to celebrate, and let these business milestones soak in and honor our hard work. Before we even make the time to celebrate big wins, we’re already moving the goalposts and diving into the next project. Y’all know, I love to celebrate. And I really, really make any excuse to recognize my friends and family. For literally any achievement.

It could be big, it could be small, it could be anything in between, or just because I really do love a party. But not all of us make the time to properly celebrate these checkpoints on our business timeline. Well today, I can’t wait to get this party started. And welcome my new forever friend Bianca muntanya. This fearless dreamer and party hosts sparked an entire business out of celebrating business owners and high achieving women. And I’m here for it.

I’m sure we’ve clicked and clinked glasses for raises, right? So anytime you make that new dream job or simply just get a new raise. We’ve shared cards of encouragement for coworkers putting in their two weeks to go chase their dreams. But have you ever attended a boss bash? These parties are designed to shower us with love and encouragement for leaps of faith, backed by bravery and experienced to boot us into the new adventure.

In today’s episode, we’ll be sharing more about these boss bash parties the different kinds of celebrations you can host for your business besties or a guest of honor and what fueled Bianca’s admission to make these parties become a main stream party just as we are familiar with bridal showers and baby showers. you know what, it’s so funny. Because as this podcast has been evolving, and I’ve had the honor and opportunity to meet real life friends in real life, I’m just so grateful for you to be here because we technically only met once in real life, right.

And I have been following you on Instagram for so long. Like I love all of your content and all of your tips that you show. And so when I saw you at the powerhouse woman event, I was like, I gotta go introduce myself and just say hi. Yes,

gosh, well, let’s just dive right into these questions. I know, a lot of our friends and listeners of this podcast, are really truly powerhouse women, women that really chase after really big goals, and want to party and want to celebrate along the way. And I feel like you are the perfect person to have this conversation. Yes.

Bianca Montano
So you know, it’s really funny how many businesses start with, you know, wanting that thing for yourself. Right? Like, I had spent so many years planning events and, you know, bridal showers and baby showers and things like that for friends and family. And don’t get me wrong, I love doing it. But I had that feeling that I was missing this for myself, like I hadn’t.

I never had that shining moment to be in the spotlight, you know, with my friends and family around to celebrate this big thing that I accomplished. And so that’s really how boss bash came to be was just I wanted to let other women know that they were worthy of celebrating where they were at in life, whether they were getting married, going family or starting a business getting a promotion. You know, there’s so many reasons to celebrate.

Quianna Marie
Yes. Well, and I love that you you notice collectively, that women have been feeling like we’ve been kind of missing out. Right. And, and I hate to say this because it can be a little triggering. But I mean, think about it, a lot of the milestones and a lot of these big achievements that we accomplished have to do with a man right or have to do with a partner that’s coming into your life. It’s like, oh, as soon as you’re married. Oh, this is when you’re Life begins.

I do I like I just honor that you have kind of kind of like looked around the room, right? Like, took a temperature gauge of the room and thought there’s something missing here, us women that are chasing these really big goals that may have not either met our significant other yet or right or maybe that’s just not the chapter or the life that we’re in right now. But we can be celebrated. We can have a party. And so actually, yeah, I’m just so happy that you you follow this dream. And so what was triggering for you? Like, what was it that maybe you accomplished that you thought, I wish there was a party like a baby shower, but for my business? Like what did you create any type of like accomplishment with that, like, what really triggered that for you.

Bianca Montano
So I think the big thing was, like I had, I’ve always had like little side hustles that I’ve been like, tinkering with over the years, you know, I had a party invitation Etsy shop for the longest time. And it wasn’t centered around these kinds of celebrations. But I’ve always loved a party of love, nothing more than dressing up. And, you know, decorating for special events.

But I had just never had one of those like, big moments of like, saying that you’re going to launch a business and going all in on it is very different than like, I have this project and I’m excited to work on it. You know, like when, when you’re excited about something like that, and your friends and family can show up and see how you know, this is going to be a really big thing in your life, the next big thing they are going for, I think that is like the difference between celebrating with like a bottle of champagne versus throwing a party to celebrate this big thing that you’re going to work on. Yes,

Quianna Marie
oh my gosh, is so pleased to share with us, who would be a perfect fit for these parties. Like when is the best time to like either host one for a girlfriend that’s going after big dreams or maybe even try to plan when yourself like who would be a great recipient of these parties.

Bianca Montano
I love that, yes, I’m all for throwing a party for yourself. I’ve done it, I fully recommend it. But we really have three big types of parties that you can celebrate. So one of them is a business shower. So this is just like a bridal shower or baby shower, it’s going to be for that woman who’s starting a business or launching a podcast, a blog, you know, something that’s like a big next career step for herself. And just like how a bridal shower has games and food and drinks and all that, it’s going to be the same thing. I’ve created games that reflect bridal shower games.

So you know, talk about like, the woman who’s the guest of honor and celebrate, you know, maybe when she was a kid, she wanted to grow up and be an entrepreneur, or maybe she wanted to be a fashion designer and started her own clothing company. These things, you know, can reflect similar concepts to what people are used to at a bridal shower, but just to celebrate a different kind of accomplishment. And then the next one is going to be a boss rep party.

This is going to be similar to a bachelorette party. But it’s going to be for women who maybe have a big promotion that they got at work, or maybe they’re celebrating their 10 year work anniversary at this company, you know, big career accomplishments that maybe aren’t done starting their own venture, but still, they can get their girlfriends together, they can go out on the town, drink and dance and celebrate. And then the last one is a boss bash.

This can be you getting your girlfriends together to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments that are there in the group that night. So, you know, you can go around the table, everyone can see what they’re proud of celebrating for that month, or maybe the biggest school that they’ve had recently. And then what they’re looking forward to next.

Quianna Marie
Oh my goodness, I feel like you have truly curated the perfect lineup for parties, depending on what you need, and you’re just kind of like your life timeline or your business checklist, right? And I love that you are just creating space for this and making it fun. Because I do I do believe like, you know, for the entrepreneurs, we don’t have those ladders to climb, right? We don’t have those positions to conquer or those promotions to run after we’re really just kind of competing with ourselves last year, right? Yeah, so I love that you’re creating just a fun excuse to party we all love a reason a party.

Then I also love to that you have opened it up with your boss Lorette parties to celebrate those that may still have the corporate job that they love. There are so many women in my life that I know that technically aren’t entrepreneurs, but they are so so grateful for their jobs and you know, maybe they’re working remotely, maybe they’re still going to the office or what they have going on. But I just think that’s beautiful that you’re truly encompassing all women in all different just checkpoints in their life. This is amazing. Exactly. Yeah, that

Bianca Montano
was really the goal. What You know, yes, as a business owner, I want to just celebrate other business owners. But like you said, I have women in my life who have gotten promoted five times, or, you know, started a side hustle along with their corporate job, you know, there’s a lot of reasons to celebrate. It doesn’t need to be a one size fits all kind of thing. You know, we all have their special milestones and their special reasons to celebrate them. Yes. Okay,

Quianna Marie
so I want you to talk more about some of your goodies and games that you played. I know, you mentioned, they’re a little bit similar, or they kind of create the same kind of vibe as baby shower games. And I have to say, like, as we all know, right, a lot of us are, you know, in our 20s 30s and early 40s, that are listening. And we’re like, okay, some of the baby shower games are like, Oh, they could be kind of cringe, right? Or we just have been doing them forever. Right. But I love that yours take on a different aspect, right? Because it is about business. So can we chat more about these different games and downloads that you offer? Yeah,

Bianca Montano
so I, like I said, I wanted to reflect them off of things that we already knew. So that it was similar enough that we’re, you didn’t have to give too much of an explanation. You know, you don’t want to be sitting there reading the instructions for 10 minutes. But some of my favorite games that I’ve made are celebrity business names. So it matches up a celebrity, like a female celebrity, like let’s say, let’s say Rihanna, right. There’ll be a list of celebrities and the businesses that they’ve created.

You would match up Rihanna and Fenty, so you can match up the celebrities and their business names. And then another game that is just easy enough to play for everyone, but it is a power suit. So just like how there’s a game where you can get the wedding dress and people coloring and fill in what they think the wedding dress will be like, people can draw in what they feel most confident in. And like if it’s a jumpsuit, they can draw in like a pink jumpsuit, like I wore the power have so many events, you know, just so that everyone has like, some relatability to it, but can also show like what they’re excited about? Yeah,

Quianna Marie
no, this is awesome. I love that because I feel like they’re very interactive. And they’re fun. And, and you know what’s crazy, too, I just I don’t know, I’m because when we’re chatting, right now, I’m literally immersing myself in this party, right? Whether we are popping into a cute little wine bar to celebrate with girlfriends, or we’re just coming in hanging out in my living room. And I feel like there actually are a lot of dreamers and entrepreneurs and even business women that we love that we don’t even know what the heck they do.

Right? Like, you know, like, it’s crazy, like, think about that, like, you know, you may have a friend that is starting this new, this new online business and maybe she’s a coach, right? Maybe they’re, you know, she was once in the fitness world, you know, it’s like, Okay, I think she gets paid to like, work out and train people. But now she’s doing something online. And I don’t know what she’s doing or even photographers, right? Like, I definitely work closely with a lot of photographers, and then all of a sudden they decide to pivot. And we don’t know exactly what they do.

So what a beautiful way to celebrate with these games and these activities that you’ve curated to actually spark tons of just engagement from the get go. So these people that we’re celebrating their loved ones, when it’s time to refer them or to share about their business out in the streets, like actually out in real life. They’ll know exactly what they’re doing. And I just think that’s awesome.

Bianca Montano
Yes, exactly. I had that same kind of moment at so I was my own first client, I have my own business for myself. And you know, as I was explaining to friends and family who were there, like, this is what my business is gonna be about. It’s just parties like this. And so it was a real life interaction for them to see, like, oh, it clicked in their heads. And now they can go out and tell their friends and family and spread the word, just like you said,

Quianna Marie
Yes, I love that. And that’s the thing. I feel like, oftentimes, we make these shifts in our minds, right? Or you’ve been just getting a promotion at work that you’re really proud of. And sometimes it feels like it could be really braggy to share online, right? It could be like, Oh, god, look how amazing I am. You know, but But I will say that the more you surround yourself with women that are not only going places, and are truly up leveling and educating themselves, and really breaking down these limiting beliefs, like good people, no good people, right. So that’s how more people are gonna come into your life. And it just it actually feels really fun to be celebrated and not feel like you’re feeling showy, or whatever, right? Like this is just the light hearted fun party. And we absolutely should be celebrating these milestones.

Bianca Montano
Exactly. That’s 100% how we feel and then we also have in our shop, some fun customized items, too. So, you know, brides have their bridal sashes. I’ve made sashes that can be completely customized to your brand colors, your job title, whatever it is that can say entrepreneur or small business owner. It’s totally Up to you what you want it to say. And then we also have some fun celebratory items like champagne glasses that can see your brand name on them, or champagne totes that you can just throw some ice in and it’ll keep your bubbly, cool and ready for celebrating anytime you need. Oh, fun. There’s yeah, there’s big or small, whatever you need. We have it. I

love this. And okay, so this is the download I’m getting because if you’re listening, you may be thinking, okay, great. Like I’m in, I’m ready. I know the exact friend that I need to plan this party for right now. Whether it’s if you’re listening now, by the end of the year, or anytime, for 2024 and beyond, we have a couple of friends, right? Whether it just it’s one person to celebrate or group a gathering of girls to just celebrate. And I guess my question is for you, Bianca, are you offering these where you’re planning and executing and decorating these locally? I think are not the answer this, but I will just want to make it clear. And then and then you also have an online shop. So anybody can access these goodies with a purchase. And they can easily just host these anywhere, right? Like what’s what does this look like for your business? I want to know.

Bianca Montano
So we started off with offering the essentials, you know, invitations, games, and all that in our online shop that is always going to be accessible. And then starting in 2024, I’m really excited to be launching party planning services for Arizona business owners, corporate fatties, you know the side hustlers, everyone that deserves the celebration for themselves. So if you have a group of girlfriends that you know, you want to celebrate, you can shoot us a message. And then we can talk about what you’re celebrating if it’s one specific thing, or if you’re just celebrating everyone’s big goals. And then we can plan the party for you.

right, all of this sounds incredible. And I love that you’re making these plans. So I know we’ve mentioned this a little bit already. But tell us more about what you’re planning with Boss bash, and what can we look forward to in the new year.

Bianca Montano
So I have so many ideas, I’m so excited to expand this business. But like we said, I will be offering party planning services in the Phoenix area. So that will be everything from decor, setups, event, prop rentals, you know, backdrops, things like that. And then as well as just party planning services, if you don’t live in the area, and you maybe want like a checklist to follow or something like that, we will have that available as well.

Then I’m really excited to be offering these if you are maybe the kind of person who doesn’t want to be showy and throw a whole party for themselves. We’re going to be offering part networking part party events, where you can meet other business owners who are celebrating their big accomplishments. And then we will have a little gather around the room, everyone can celebrate their big thing for the month and what they’re looking forward to in the new year.

Amazing. I love this. I feel like you are making such an impact in this industry, and really rattling things up clinking some glasses, and I’m just so excited for this future. This is gonna be so fun.

Oh my gosh. So okay, so I just I just want to keep talking about this because I think this is so fun, Bianca. So tell me more about what would be a great gift for someone. Let’s say maybe you just get invited to one of these parties to celebrate this boss, babe, this entrepreneur, what’s something that entrepreneurs would love to be gifted? If you were like, ah, yeah, that’s what she needs. What would what would she like?

Bianca Montano
I love this question. So if you are planning this kind of event, I would recommend to have either the entrepreneur or maybe a few close friends make a registry so you can easily do that on Amazon. You can make like a little wish list for them. Or you can do my registry.com and you can add things from any website on there. But you know, everyone’s business is going to be different. So for me personally, when I had mine, I requested things like a shipping scale. Oh, and packaging supplies, you know, I’m going to be shipping things my business.

So little essentials like that made it a lot easier when I was ready to start my business to have those things going. Maybe a photographer wants extra memory cards, or a cute camera bag, you know, like the, the options are endless there. But if let’s say a registry is not available, or one wasn’t created, there’s a lot of things that can be personalized, like one of my friends gave me a neon sign with my company name on it, that was the cutest thing.

I was so grateful. And it was just like such a touching moment to like, she really put in the thought and effort in my brand colors and everything, you know, the close friends that know what you’re doing the behind the scenes that they can get personalized gifts like that. And then if let’s say you have no idea what they’re doing, you have no idea what their business is about. Things like planners are great gifts, any sort of office supplies, paper, the general things that you know, a baby shower, you would get things like diapers, wipes, maybe boring things that some people might consider, but they’re still essentials, and they’re still going to be very useful to have. Yes, I

Quianna Marie
love this. And you know, it’s so funny. I feel like I’ve just always been an entrepreneur at heart where one of my favorite things to do ever was to go school shopping and not for like boots and new clothes. Like you know, like new like items actually wear to school that was whatever for me, I love going to like Office Max or like Office Depot and getting all the postings and the new set of pens and the new set of crayons and markers are finally and stuff and notebooks like, I feel like you just if you’ve if you’ve grown up loving those things, like they never get old. And you’re right there essentials. Yeah,

Bianca Montano
exactly. I have my my notebook pile that will will never be any smaller than it is it will just continue to keep growing and growing. And then also, I forgot to mention too, but motivational books or business books are a great thing too. So there’s a endless amount of like, resources out there that can be gifted. You know, just pick some of the favorite authors that are out there. Yeah.

Quianna Marie
I love that. And you’re right. I mean, it’s it’s education. Right. It’s it’s an I just thought to I was just listening to Laurie harder and Jasmine stars conversation this morning on Jasmine’s podcast, and she was talking about how entrepreneurship is literally the biggest self development like project of your entire life, right?

Bianca Montano
Like, it’s so true.

Quianna Marie
Yes, so definitely books like that. And I also want to mention, too, I kind of want to kind of just plug that if you are invited to one of these parties, right. So like speaking of gifts, and speaking of things to bring the best, best, best thing you can ever do for that business is share about it right. If you are going to that party, I mean, please like take a couple photos, take a couple pictures, you know post about it on social media share that this friend of yours is starting this new endeavor.

Maybe she’s hit this next milestone, the best thing we can do for each other is truly share it. And the best thing is, is it’s free. Right? Like, like it’s free to talk about each other. And it may take a couple minutes to curate something really cute to post online. But we got to be sharing this. I think this is so fun. Exactly.

Bianca Montano
And how much more memorable would it be to share? Hey, my party, or my friend threw a party for this business. Look at how amazing it is. She’s gonna be great. You know, it’s just gonna be that much more memorable. Not only for the person who is at the event, but anyone sharing it. I remember events like that, like I you and your girlfriend’s I saw you posted had a little party for Felicia getting her magazine cover? Yes, I was like that is that is an amazing accomplishment. Like congratulations to her. And I like that stuck out in my brain. Like I was like that are such a fun way to celebrate that. And I want to be looking out for that magazine cover. Yes, exactly.

Quianna Marie
You’re gonna be excited about it. Because you know someone. It’s just yeah, that’s the power of it. I know you mentioned this earlier too in the episode, but it really truly does build momentum, it builds up validation. And we may just be a couple girls coming together saying oh my gosh, this is my friend and whatever she touches goes to gold. I’m just so proud of her and right like, I don’t really care what she’s doing. But she’s awesome, right?

We have those girlfriends in our in our life, which is great. But then we’re also going to have those people that are actually going to purchase from us, right that are actually going to understand what we’re doing and it just creates that validation like whoa, like I this is legit, right? Like, just like you said, like it’s not just this new launch, or I’m going to kind of start a side hustle like no, like, Let’s shout from the rooftops and have that accountability, right like have that validation that this is a real

Bianca Montano
Yeah, exactly. And it was, it really makes such a difference to feel the love and support from your friends and family, and even strangers online when you post about it. But just to know that people have your back and are in your corner, you know, I think that that’s what made it feel so lonely in the beginning is when I didn’t feel like I was being celebrated for things that I was accomplishing. But once I put myself in a position to be celebrated, I think that that made a huge difference, not only for me, but for all the people around me too.

Quianna Marie
I love that. Oh my gosh. Okay, so I have another question about the parties. Yeah. I like I don’t want this conversation to end. So I know, for example, for when my brother got married, for my sister in law’s a bridal shower. She, her cousin, two of her cousins actually put together this really cute questionnaire where she like asked questions about the relationship. And then she actually recorded my brother, saying no responses and then having Lauren right, like the bride, answer them. It was kind of like a newlywed game kind of right.

So just thinking, Do you have any elements like that where somebody could maybe submit a cute video, or maybe it’s just a, like a checklist or a cute little game or something people can do that could be interactive for someone that may not be able to physically attend these parties. I was just thinking that I’m like, come on, Bianca. Like, do you have anything like that? Or have you experienced something like that to you got

Bianca Montano
my wheels turning because I don’t have anything like that, like a video kind of format. But that would be so fun to include other people who are maybe out of state who can attend in person. But we do have several game options for how well do you know the ambitious babe who you’re celebrating, you know, like, the shoe prefer tick tock her Instagram does she prefer coffee or tea? You know, those kinds of things. Just to make it a little more fun and personable than just all business. But having a video element of that would be a lot of fun.

Quianna Marie
Yes. And even if it’s a collaboration, even if you’re just kind of like oh, hey, like just write like, maybe have a spokesperson for the group, right? Do like, okay, just send everything to Ashley and Ashley will compile a cute video for you. Like, I just think that will be so fun to incorporate all that, like you said all people that love you and that want to share a little words of wisdom. I mean, that would just be so fun.

Bianca Montano
Yeah, exactly. I do have options for like, advice and wishes like cards that people can fill out there. And maybe it’s just like a dual thing. Maybe, you know, people have the little voicemails at weddings, people have little, like, there’s so many options out there. I’m gonna start incorporating all of them for sure. Yes,

Quianna Marie
I love this so much. And I feel like the more you continue to celebrate these parties, like you, yourself, as the owner and the creator are just going to be flooded with so many more ideas, right? Like, it’s just like, it can be really daunting, but also really fun at the same time. Exactly.

Bianca Montano
Yeah. And I mean, like you said that there’s no limit to the amount of parties that we can have. And so once people start telling me more things that they’re celebrating, I like there’s certain things in a coaching business that I might not know is like a big milestone for them that we can start adding in those celebrations too. So I’m just looking forward to seeing this grow and just help celebrate so many more women and you know, wherever they’re at in their lives.

I love this so much. I’m just so grateful for you for taking this leap of faith, right like truly betting on yourself, making time to bring this to life. I think this is what makes my heart so happy without literally crying like, like you truly, Bianca have a gift for helping others to feel seen and feel loved and feel appreciated and and worthy, like absolutely worthy of chasing our big dreams. But one thing that I’ve really tried to incorporate is to when I’m sitting down and setting my big goals for you know, starting a new business or you know, this will be good for you and going into the new year. When I have those, let’s say three big goals for my business set. I’m going to go out and I’m going to buy three bottles of champagne and set an intention for each one of those so that I have it ready to go and so that I don’t breeze through this big milestone that I’ve just hit. I have something ready that I can just grab really quick and pop champagne pal confetti, whatever it is that you love to use to celebrate, have it ready to go so that you can actually sit in the moment and celebrate that big accomplishment.

Oh my gosh, I love that so much and I’m such a visual person because you’re right like we can quickly that’s just what we’re how we’re designed right is like once we get to that next checkpoint or once we finish that one thing, okay, we sit in it for a second. Like take a breath and then we’re on to the next thing. And so I totally love that. Oh my gosh, do you have? Do you have labels for that? Like, I’m just I’m like, Okay, what else can you add to the shop? Let’s add this right now,

we can definitely add that I think it would be a lot of fun to have like a fill in the blank, like, you know, I’m celebrating this and then you can just write in whatever your whatever you want that bottle or that confetti Popper, or whatever it is that you want it to be. I

love that. And it just because even that game, too, I think I’ve seen that for either like engagement parties, or even on wedding days, right? Will they’ll have like the table number. I’ve seen that from all my wedding past where they’ll have a number of it’s like, okay, like on your sixth anniversary, right? Like open this on this. And we have notes for you, like just so many cute things. This is just so amazing.

The possibilities are truly endless. And if there isn’t something that like maybe there’s labels, like you said that you want to see in the shop, and you don’t see them yet just shoot me a message because I’m fully.
