Review the Transcript:
Hey, beautiful. Welcome back to Quianna Marie Weekly. I’m your host, Quianna, and today we’re diving into a simple but powerful equation. Clarity plus confidence equals content. If you’re an author, a healer photographer, an online coach, a creative entrepreneur, or honestly any business owner that’s building something incredible, this is your reminder that you’re just one photo shoot away from booking more clients.
Not just more clients, but the kind of clients that adore you. Love your energy and value your work. Because here’s the truth, you don’t just need more content. You need more confidence, more clarity in your offers and images that actually make people stop the scroll and say, oh my gosh, that’s her. That’s my photographer, that’s my next coach.
Take all my money now. So let’s talk about how a branding session can help answer their prayers. Just like today’s title, clarity plus confidence equals content. We’ll be breaking down this entire equation and working through a formula that helps you sell more, share your value, and build excitement for your brand and offers.
We’re officially in the Burr months, baby, which is my favorite season of all. Happy Fall y’all. 2026 is just around the corner. And as your business bestie photographer and content coach, I wanna help you round out 20, 25 and Q4 with a bang. Today’s episode is brought to you by Flow Desks, my favorite email marketing tool that helps me stay connected with past, current, and future clients every year.
My mini sessions sell out within days thanks to these easy drag and drop email templates and the ability to segment my subscribers through opt-ins, freebies, and offers. If you’re planning to get on stage, maximize your exposure by collecting emails and following up with your audience. If you’re an online coach, building your email list is something I would prioritize over making your next real no really ready to launch something new.
Don’t depend on those algorithms to share your content with your followers. The ones that already love you, they’re not seeing it. Your email list is something you own and can land right in the inboxes of dream Clients that selected to hear more from you instead of hoping and praying a tiny percentage of those interested in your community actually see what you are sharing if you’re even the slightest bit curious about flow desks.
I couldn’t let this season pass without sharing this small business win. Coming up soon by November, 2025, FLODESK is saying goodbye to their founding rate. Currently I’m locked in and so grateful for their pricing transparency. After November of this year, float Dek will be saying goodbye to that flat rate of unlimited subscribers and going towards a pricing structure that increases the price as your list continues to grow.
This is something that pushed me to float desks in the first place. I obsessed over the idea that for an easy, flat monthly rate, I can be locked in and never be penalized, or I mean charged more as my list got bigger. If you’re curious about learning more about email marketing and utilizing Flow dest to help your business grow and scale, head over to keana marie.com/flow dest.
That’s QuiannaMarie.com/flodesk to grab 50% off your first year and only if you love it, consider locking in that founding rate. I’m passionate about email marketing and keep reminding you about it because I wish I got started building my list a decade ago. If you have questions about email marketing, please slide into my DMS and ask away.
I am here to help you. If there’s more questions about Flodesk specifically, I’m happy to chat more about that too. Send me a DM with the word flow desk or head to QuiannaMarie.com/flodesk before the founding rate is gone forever. Here’s the deal, babe. We can be really, really good at what we do. We can sacrifice our time, energy, and even make big investments as we build our business.
We can book the photo shoots, pour our heart and souls into our calling, but if we’re not top of mind for our past clients popping up in the searches for our future clients and nurturing our current clients, then it’s just gonna be harder and harder to scale. Stay connected to your community and build generational wealth.
Let me officially step off my flow desk soapbox and crank out the formula that’s gonna help you generate endless content ideas. But here’s the thing. I know I can go on a rampage and catch speed on my bandwagon as I talk about content, but really the root of all of this. My message is to remind you that you are worthy of being seen.
You have a calling on your heart to work with people, to help others, and to make this world a better place. We’re giving too much of our power away to social media. Too much of our time chasing trends and too much energy. Doom scrolling. Let’s start with the first part of this equation. Clarity. Before we start picking out backdrops, locations, outfits, and props for your next branding session, we need to sit down, take a few deep breaths, and find clarity on who you are, what you’re made of, what you want to be known for, and exactly what you’re offering.
And when I say what you’re offering, what are you selling? How can people work with you? What are you selling and what can they buy from you today, I wanna take it a step further and start brain dumping all of those things. I wanna honor what got you here. I wanna celebrate where you are now and let’s make some plans for what’s ahead.
Then, once we have this all mapped out, celebrated, honored, journaled, if you need to pull out your humongous post-it notes and literally create a whole like web diagram on this and a whole timeline, I’m here for it. At this point, now we can start making plans for what we can actually start planning for your content and marketing strategy.
At this point, you probably have a handful of offers, seasonal sales, and a variety of ways to work with you. I challenge you to pick one, pick one lane, babe, offer one, and one very specific product or service that you’re excited to sell every single day. Do you remember Play-Doh? That colorful, squishy stuff that we all use to squish through those creepy doll heads with holes in the top of their head and cut off their stringy hair.
I loved making those dolls hair grow, right? And then I would cut it and style it. It was so fun and it’s something that we often found smooshed in the carpet of classrooms or heaven for bed in your home. Like that is something that my mom was not a fan of. Like, and if we had to play with Play-Doh, we played with it outside, right?
Here’s the wild part about Play-Doh. Play-Doh wasn’t invented for kids. It was invented as a wallpaper cleaner. Yep. Back in the 1930s when people heated their homes with coal, it was made to rub the soot off of the walls. But when the market shifted and coal faded out, people weren’t getting heaters and having fireplaces in their homes, right?
Like they weren’t actually making their kitchen walls, and the walls in their living room turned black from soot. That faded out. Teachers started bringing the cleaner into classrooms for art projects. That’s when the company had a choice, clean to their old soot remover label, or lean into clarity. They pivoted, rebranded, and became a household toy that’s still making millions today.
That’s the power of clarity in your offer. When you have clarity, you make it easy for people to buy from you. You make it easy for them to understand what you do, why it matters, and how it transforms their life or business. And here’s the best part. Clarity doesn’t mean you can only have one offer, but it does mean that you go all in on one offer at a time.
That one signature product, service, or shoot becomes a front door to everything else you do. So I love some juicy examples. I wanna start by sharing just a handful of ways that brands have created clarity and helped them become even more well-known today. So let’s start with Coca-Cola. That started as a headache tonic.
Like it literally was a drink that helped people relieve headaches, which is so funny because the rumors are true. Like there actually used to be cocaine in Coca-Cola, which is so insane to me. And then the clarity turned it into a refreshing lifestyle beverage. Now I say refreshing lifestyle beverage like that sounds fancy, but really it’s just, it’s a part of our culture, right?
Coca-Cola is everywhere. Now, I want you to think about Instagram. Once a clunky check in app, right? So I remember when I first got Instagram, once I started scrolling, I kind of picked up the culture or picked up the platform and how others were using it. And it was the first time I ever, ever followed anybody that I didn’t know.
I was following really cool photographers and artists where I think. Having that first connection with Facebook for me, and I still have this tread and true kind of like rule with Facebook. Like I don’t follow anybody. I don’t know if I have not met you in person, I don’t follow you. Like we’re not friends.
Right. I know. That sounds so crazy. I mean, I have made a couple connections, especially through business and you know, podcasting opportunities and business besties. I would definitely put in that category where maybe we haven’t actually met in person. We have some type of connection, right? So Instagram was that way in the beginning where you started following people you didn’t know.
And so I just thought that was so crazy. So going back to their clarity and how things have changed, they cut the noise and went all in on one photo sharing app to eventually video sharing and community building. So before people used to just check in, they used to be like, oh, here I am today. Or here’s this like super grainy or goofy filter to put on things, right?
I mean, if you scroll back on my personal page, you will find those really cringe posts. But I love them. They’re so fun. So that’s just one way that Instagram has really honed in on who they’re speaking to. And now, oh my gosh, it’s just this mega thing that everybody, especially in business, has an Instagram, right?
So another way that clarity has shifted a business is through Slack. They were building a communication tool for video games, which I had no idea. I literally had to look this up and find some research on it. But the big aha moment was the power of their communication piece. Did you know that Slack stands for Searchable log of all Communication and Knowledge?
I didn’t know that. I literally had to Google it and I even looked it up on chat, GBTI was like, is this what this really stands for? Because when I think of Slack, the first thing that comes to mind for me is like literally Slack in like a line. Like I think of like those tight rope walkers and like a Slack line, and then just connecting people like a web, like that’s what I thought Slack came from.
But no, it was for their searchable communication. Now that Clarity made them a billion dollar company. They noticed that the way they were organizing their communications for these gamers, they realized that there was a crack in the industry that they could fill. And now it is what we know it to be today, which a lot of business owners and industries use it to communicate and to keep, uh, all of their employees, all of their clients in one spot, right?
So clarity doesn’t just make your offer easier to explain, it makes it powerful and most importantly, memorable and profitable. We all love a good profit, right? So here’s how this plays out with your content. When you have clarity in your offer, you stop second guessing yourself. When you stop second guessing yourself, you start showing up with confidence, and when you show up with confidence, content starts to flow.
That’s when your content goes from stressful to magnetic, from what should I post? I don’t know what to say to here’s how I can show up today. If you’re struggling to put clients or your content feels like it’s not landing, I want you to ask yourself, am I trying to sell six things at once, or am I making it crystal clear what my one offer is right now?
You can have multiple offers in your business. I’m not here to coach you and tell you what to do, what not to do. I don’t like to be that shoulda, woulda, coulda person, right? But when it comes to visibility, your audience needs clarity. They need to know your one thing, that, one thing that becomes your lighthouse when they’re struggling at sea.
Literally imagine someone swimming and splashing in the ocean, right? They’re drowning, they’re lost. Searching for the results and the offers you’re selling. When you’re in the zone with clarity, you’re like a bright light and they can find you. Once they’re in your world and get to know you, then they can see everything else you have to offer.
All right, so let’s really break down clarity for you and your next branding session. Clarity comes first. When you step in front of my camera. For a brand shoot, you’re forced in the best way with the best, like little pompoms and cheerleading happiness. Here you are forced to really define your offers.
What do you wanna be known for? What season of business are you stepping into? We talk about this, we celebrate this. We have a game plan prior to your shoot. If you’re just looking for headshots, if you’re looking for a photographer to make you look skinny and to have the best poses, cool, like you can pop in for a mini session with me and that would be so fun.
But if you really are ready to invest in a branding session, that’s gonna take you from where you are now to scale, we have to really hone in on this clarity. I’ve had authors show up to shoots and say, I thought this was just about a headshot, but walking through all the props and planned outfits helped me clarify my entire book launch strategy.
Right? We weren’t just taking pictures of my friends and their books, right? Like we are really creating a strategy and huge launch plan for releasing their book. I’ve worked with the dog trainer and now she’s expanding her team and offering coaching to other dog trainers around the country. Yes, I asked questions and pulled these ideas through the conversations we had while planning and working together for her VIP day.
But I was just curious. I was just the messenger and the photographer. My clients have these big dreams and aspirations, but without clarity and taking up the time to focus on the growth of their business, my clients often get stuck in the rut of running the business they currently love instead of working towards big future plans and possibilities.
Clarity means no more confusion about your messaging, your photos, and behind the scenes videos become the mirror of what you’re actually doing in your business and friend. If you’re waiting until everything is perfect, your website, your programs, your body, your schedule, you’re just delaying the clarity you could have today.
With clarity comes confidence. Okay, so this is the second part of the formula. Confidence. You know that feeling when you get your hair done or slip into your favorite outfit with some kick ass shoes and suddenly you’re standing taller. That’s what a brand session does. It makes you wanna drive home with the windows down, and especially if you’re here in Arizona, I love an evening drive with the windows down with the AC on.
Sorry, I’m totally that person, but right like you just want your hair glowing in the wind. It just feels incredible. For my healers and money mindset coaches, you are already pouring into your client’s daily. Imagine pouring that energy back into yourself and actually seeing the CEO version of you reflected back in the photos For my photographers and videographers, it’s literally your job to document your client’s history and family heirlooms.
Are you making the time to document your own business growth and making history for your family? Sorry if that kind of stings, but I’m only telling you this because I love you. When I work with my clients, we create space to truly embody the leader you already are. And guess what? That confidence spills right into your launches and client calls, not just online, but in real life too.
I think most business owners in brands get it backwards. They think they need to have more confidence before they book a shoot. Really, the confidence comes from finding clarity and remembering who the F you are. With a background in weddings and family portraits for literally over the last 20 years, I’ve prided myself on catching those candid, beautiful moments to last a lifetime.
Those sweet giggles, emotional moments, and once in a lifetime seconds that we can never get back. As a photographer, I’m a storyteller and a memory keeper. With this focus on branding together, you and I have the ability to co-create together. We get to curate the big vision for what’s ahead. When you’re in your own lane owning your power, you start lighting up and talking about your life changing experiences and offers that are changing lives.
That’s fire and passion. That’s confidence ignited. The photos are beautiful and powerful, but the ripple effect, priceless. Okay, so now that we have that equation of clarity plus confidence, let’s break down the equals part, right? So when you have clarity and confidence, you will just inevitably have content.
Like this is the equation. It’s really that simple. Content is literally the byproduct of clarity and confidence. When you know what you’re selling and you feel amazing in your own skin, creating content becomes easy. No more stressing. What do I post today? Instead, you’ve got a bank of images and B-roll videos ready to roll out instantly, like let’s go.
I always tell my clients, your photos are your silent salespeople. They’re working for you 24 7 while you’re coaching, writing, speaking, or living your best life. The best part, a single VIP day can fuel six months worth of content. A power Hour can give you enough images for your next launch or event. No more content droughts.
Okay? Like we are not just like scrolling for ideas, scrolling on trends, slapping some texts on B roll. Like let’s be very strategic with our marketing. Okay? If you caught one of our recent episodes, we talked about 13 ways to use your brand photos. And let me tell you, those photos are like gold mines, but too often they sit in a gallery or in your camera roll and nothing happens.
Here’s the reality. Most business owners, coaches, healers, and creatives get a brand shoot and then nothing. They post a headshot here, share a quote there, and if I’m lucky, they share some behind the scenes clips from their shoot. Then they wonder why their content isn’t attracting clients. Your photos and videos aren’t just images.
They’re proof. Proof of your expertise, proof that people can trust you, proof that you show up. They’re literally proving your value and showing that you’re not just a business. That you are the only option. Now, let’s flip the script. What if every piece of content you create had a purpose? What if your content wasn’t just pretty, it was potent and actually selling for you?
One of my favorite episodes to reference is when I interviewed my friend Jira on episode number 1 65 reels and tiktoks with Jira bean. I know I’m still a fangirling over this opportunity, and we talked all about maximizing your existing content, turning one video, one photo shoot, or one session into months of strategy.
So here’s how you can start. Number one, break down the content. Take your gallery or B-roll from your shoot. Organize it into categories, head shots, product shots, lifestyle behind the scenes, quotes or action shots, right? So like just break it down into these little categories. Number two, match every content piece to a goal.
Every image or clip should have a purpose introducing you, proving your authority, selling a product, building trust, creating hype for a new launch or a new retreat that you’re hosting. Let’s start kind of matching. Like I almost imagine like, I don’t know, like in the first grade where you would like draw a line across to the different things, right?
Like so start matching these content pieces to the goal. Number three, recycle and repurpose. Don’t just post once. Use the headshot in an Instagram story. LinkedIn post email signature or Pinterest, pin turn B roll into reels, tiktoks, or shorts. If you’re struggling picking a podcast, cover art as one epic photo, like one epic cover photo.
Grab a handful of those images that were close contenders and drop them with fresh titles for new episode releases, building hype and promoting your episodes. Everything will feel professional and cohesive, but still offer variety. Number four, create content themes. I love a good theme, yes, to keeping things simple, but mostly for accountability and consistency.
So for example, Mondays are for mindset tips. Wednesdays are for behind the scenes. Fridays are for client wins. Each week, use your content shoot as the foundation, right? So what I love about creating these series, and I’ve mentioned this oftentimes on the podcast, is when you create series, it creates consistency.
And when you have consistency, you’re building trust. And it’s just really an easy way for you to not just show up. I love, I love actually creating homework for myself, right? Like actually creating that demand and having a reason to show up with a fun theme always makes it cute. So with one VIP day, your content literally works harder than you do.
That’s like the best part is you invest in this once and then it goes to work for you. Make the plan, pose, produce, and pose it baby. The ultimate goal is not just pretty pictures looking skinny and pulling a FS one over your future clients. We’re not pretending to be professional when we’re struggling with imposter syndrome.
The goal is bookings, inquiries, and more consistent revenue. Your brand shoot content can do the selling for you, and here’s how it can actually do it for you. Okay, so let’s chat about testimonials in action. Post clips of clients or behind the scenes reactions. People trust people like them, so they may not always believe us right away or hear how amazing we are because we’re reminding them how amazing that we are.
But seeing themselves in other clients and people that we’re working with is really gonna help with those testimonials that actually create transformations, right. Speaking of transformation, we’re gonna show the transformation use before and after visuals, or I love a good day in the life of content.
Those are always my favorites. I literally have drafts and drafts that I just need to find a quiet place and record some voiceovers for, but do it right. Start creating those transformations and documenting it. Let your audience imagine themselves in that transformation. Highlight offers naturally.
Instead of posting a sales page, show your service in action, your content narrates the story for you. This is what I call soft selling, and I love talking about offers as unanswered prayers instead of feeling annoying and salesy. And then of course, consistency equals trust. When you constantly show up with your content, people start to recognize your face, your style, and your brand voice.
This creates trust and trust equals sales. If you’re thinking, I don’t know how to use all these photos and videos I just created, take a scroll back to episode number 2 0 7 13 ways to use Your Brand Photos, and then the chat with Jar Bean on episode number 1 65. This is your blueprint. It’s all about strategy, connecting and building relationships, not just posting to post.
If you’ve been listening here for a while, you know I love a good list. So here’s your quick five step. Action plan number one, find clarity and what you’re excited to offer and pick one thing to promote this season. Number two, shoot your confidence through the roof with a brand session. Hey, that’s where we can book me and work together.
I think it would be so fun whether you’re booking a studio session here in Phoenix, Scottdale or surrounding areas, or girl, literally put me on a plane. I will come to you and book a studio near you. Let’s do it. Number three, go through your latest shoot and categorize your content. I’m telling you now, if you don’t have a marketing plan for your content, you’ll never share it, and it will just be forever until you get it online.
Stop waiting. Your dream clients are waiting to find you. Number four, map each piece of content to a goal. Okay? So you’re gonna match these goals with your content, introduce, educate, entertain, or sell whatever it is that you got going on. Create some ideas that then direct to that purpose. And number five, develop your content plan.
That includes themes or weekly checkpoints so you can help build consistency and trust. If you’re ready to finally have a content strategy that actually works for you, no more chasing trends, duct taping strategies that worked pre 2020, or if you’ve been holding onto photos that just aren’t getting any traction, it’s time to take that leap.
Book a VIP day with me, and let’s create content that fuels six months or more of magnetic and aligned post. Here’s the reality check. If you’re planning holiday sales, black Friday, promos, retreats, workshops, or launches for the end of this year, or well into 2026, your audience needs to see them months in advance.
That means you need photos like yesterday. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had clients scrambling two weeks before their big event saying, I wish I booked this sooner. That is something that I hear all the time, and I don’t want that to be you in your business. Hear me out. The best time to book your branding session was yesterday, the second Best time today.
Here’s your equation again. Clarity plus confidence equals content. If you’ve been hiding behind Canva Graphics or waiting for the right time, this is your sign, babe. Your clients are waiting for you to show up. If you’re ready for a full on transformation with months of content, I am so excited to start planning your VIP day.
If you just need a quick refresh or kickstart book a power hour. Both are designed to help you feel empowered, look incredible, and finally have the content bank that makes your marketing painless. I’ll drop the links in the show notes. Let’s make it happen. Stop waiting. Stop showing up. The world needs what you have in its time to be seen.
