Building a business can often feel like an extension of our heart like a real life baby that we birthed from scratch, and our own heartbeats keep our passion projects and business breathing. Many of us stumbled into these businesses and some entrepreneurs have no choice but to turn their passions into profits because the thought of having a boss or a manager telling us what to do. Sounds like a headache. Or maybe at one point, we depended on freelancing for simply surviving.
We all have different root stories. But many of us can all agree that picking fonts, colors, logos, and adding a price tag to our art and services can be nerve wracking and confusing. I believe we are all inherently valuable, with beautiful gifts to share. But products and offers can be so subjective, how are we bottling up our magic and selling it? So I would love to just get this party started. I want to fire away some questions for you, Priscilla, what’s the biggest mistake business owners make when creating their brand?
Priscilla Sites
So immediate thought when you are starting a business is I need a logo and I need a website? Which Yes, 100% you need somewhere to send your potential buyers to you need a logo for brand awareness. But that’s not going to sell for you. Right? So you can have these things you pay somebody maybe your cousin Sally’s a graphic designer, she had offered to make your logo for you because she’s in graphic school. Okay, cool.
That’s a great place to start, or you DIY, and you want to have this logo, you have this vision in your head. When we’re starting our businesses, we see this picture. Overall, you know what we want to do, but we don’t know how to translate it. And we just think everyone has a logo, everyone has a website, but it’s not going to sell for you.
I find a lot of my clients, they hire these designers, and then they get their, you know, elements, whether it’s a logo or their color palette or fonts and then they don’t know what to do with it. They have this beautiful site, but they don’t have traffic coming to this site. So they’re not making sales. So they just invested all of this money into this website that they’re like Okay, now what so it’s not enough anymore to just have these pieces. And, you know, they don’t understand the importance of having a living, breathing brand. So it’s I like to call this branding energetics and aligning and activating your audience, right.
So, you know, a lot of people use social media for marketing now and video content interactive, you know, you’ll go on websites, you’ll have a quiz, or you’ll have something fun, you’ll have these videos and things going on. But alongside that, there’s conversion opportunities that maybe you didn’t understand or know before, when you first made your logo and website when you first created your business.
It really is all about that experience that you’re providing for your audience. And let me tell you, you guys, I design brands and websites for a living, this is my job, you know, I love what I get to do, who I get to work for day in and day out, women just expanding being their little, you know, cheerleaders on the side of their business and developing their visions.
I haven’t even launched a full website myself, because I got so stuck in the hamster wheel of working in my business instead of on my business. So when I first started, I didn’t have a website. But I was showing up online, I was, you know, showing up and getting mentorship, I was learning how to run the business, I was learning my branding energetics.
When I first started posting on social media, I was looking to everyone else what they were doing in my industry. I was making post like those people that I was desiring to be like, and in the mix I got lost of, you know, what actually my brand and what I stand for, and even creating my own website, because I was just, you know, I was getting referrals, which was amazing. And you know, referrals, you always you can never say no to referral, it’s an easy sale, right? I ran majority of my business without my own website. Tell me how you do that. Right.
So you don’t need a website. Right off the bat, you don’t need a logo, you need to define your brand foundations. And I like to say align your values to your visuals. So before you can really create those visuals and that experience for your audience. We need to understand who is this person you’re even selling to? What am I selling? What it like? What are my brand core values? What do I stand for? Because if you don’t know what you stand for, how can you attract ideal clients dream clients that are going to buy from you with those same values.
It’s about relatability. It’s about perspective, and positioning yourself with your brand core values, your brand mission, your brand vision, your ICA, AKA your ideal client, those dream clients you want to work with or even selling a product Who are you selling this product to? You know, and creating your brand foundations is such a core rock of building the visuals, which is next you can get by selling online now without those big investments.
I really like to work with clients to create clarity around these things. Because that is the first thing that pops up in your head. Oh, I need a logo. I need a website so I can sell my things. But you can do it without that by defining your brand vibe.
What is your personality? Are you bubbly? Fun? Spunky? Are you very reserved? Are you actually sophisticated? And do you feel like you have to show up on Instagram because all these other business owners are no there’s other ways outside of your website, outside of your logo that you can be promoting your offers.
You could be getting your feet wet, you could be launching programs and things like that to understand then actually your brand is going to evolve from when you first start to one, year two, year three, five, and having the permission slip of, you know knowing it’s okay to pivot and knowing it’s okay to evolve your brand. And just because you don’t have all these elements done when you’re starting out doesn’t mean you can’t make money or you can’t do market research.
You can do test clients you can you know, have packages that you’re just taking them through as a test. So then you can really see oh, I actually love working with my clients. I like doing this I like teaching this. I don’t like that this takes too much of my time. So really like developing your brand is so much more in depth than a logo that is one key elements for brand awareness within building your business. Yes.
Quianna Marie
Okay. So I love that you just gave us all tons of permission slips for us to take a deep breath and just remind ourselves like it’s okay. Hey, to evolve. That’s one of the biggest golden nuggets I received right then where, you know, and that’s what happens is sometimes we get started. And then things change things pivot, we have new offers, we move out of state, right, we get into a new personal relationship and things change, like so many factors affect us as business owners.
I love that you share that it’s okay to start, you know, having that perfectly curated fonts, and all of the brands and the logos and all that stuff doesn’t actually sell, right. And so I love that you’re actually backing those energetics with those elements. So I would love to know Priscilla, one thing that I think a lot of business owners kind of struggle with is creating a brand that is either a personal extension of themselves, personally, or like something that is not exactly them. Personally, I don’t know if that makes sense. So like, guys,
Priscilla Sites
so you have a personal brand. And then you also have, say your your have a product, or you can have sub brands of your personal brand. So there is a time and a place for both where you have a personal brand. And then you have a corporate ask, let’s say brand, that maybe is a sub extension of you. And it’s its own entity, but it also has things that are incorporated with your brand. So it still will stay cohesive. And that is really defining your business model.
If you want to be the face of your business, that this is a personal brand and say you were a one person shop, and you expand to an agency, and now you are no longer running and having your services under your personal name. But now you’ve developed an agency name and agency style, and you’re not the face anymore, but actual your products or your you know, what you’re really service in selling is the face of the brand. Because that’s, you know, that type of business model.
I think having clarity around what you’re doing and selling is so important, again, those brand foundations, because when it comes to building a personal brand, you can have sub brands. And you know, I plan, I’m actually behind the scenes, I have a 90 day planner that I am building for you. So you can have a planner that is like accountability, it has steps to go along with your brand building.
It also has some affirmations to be a badass coach or service provider, you know, reminding you on those days you feel lonely or stuck that it’s okay, so that’ll be an extension of my personal brand. And that’ll be its own entity that I can mark it under my personal brand. But it’s also going to be its own in the sense that this is a brand planter, and I can sell that on Amazon, I can sell that on my shop on my store, I can sell that on Etsy, all these little tidbits spots, that they’re not going to see my face yet there, you know, I can market it other places. And I don’t have to show my face, I’m actually selling the product. And the product is the the brands, that’s really helpful.
Quianna Marie
Because I do see I see a lot of online coaches and mentors and leaders online. I noticed that they have like one very cohesive brand, and then they start making like a coaching container, or they have another offer, or they have another product. You can see that those elements are in alignment with their like, I would say they’re like umbrella brand, but they’re different. They have little personalities. And I think that’s a really cool,
Priscilla Sites
yes, and if you can brand your program and make it fun and spunky or, you know, if you are a financial advisor or someone that you know, you need to have something more sophisticated, you still can brand these smaller offers and packages in their own under your own personal brand. So then that way every year you’re promoting your audience is going to see that same brand from that program. And maybe you have a specific color that you’re using for this program.
They see that color it’s a secondary brand awareness that when they scroll on the feed and they see you post that color, they’re like, oh my god, she’s gonna you know, in this program is coming out I missed it last year, I want to buy it this year.
It’s going to be sub awareness to your brand, if you can mark it yourself and your sub brands, your sub containers in that sense, it’ll be a way to pull in and attract that audience that you’re not in their face doing it but subconsciously they see that color for the example and they’re like she’s gonna you know, drop this super exciting thing she did this last time oh my god, I’m gonna get this freebie because she did it last time. You know, those things stick with consumers and you may not even know it. So if you can intentionally do that behind the scenes, it will up the conversion rate
Quianna Marie
Yes. And I love that because I know exactly like I had about three or four coaches and online teachers that I’m like, Oh, yep, that reminds me of her. Oh, yep, he did that. And I can totally relate to that. I want to kind of go back to square one real fast. And let’s dig a little bit deeper into the energetics. And I would love to know your advice for someone that is ready for a refresh.
They know it’s time to up level, and truly align themselves with their upcoming brand, their programs, their new offers, but something inside us is plain small. So what is your advice for truly elevating our brands? And just going for it? Like, let’s just do a quick makeover for our brand? Where do we start with that.
Priscilla Sites
So when you are feeling this shift to evolve, we all have seasons in our lives in our businesses. And a lot of times I see clients that they’re afraid to let go of what they actually built, initially, because it’s worked so well or that’s their baby. For example, I had a client, actually Kiana did her brand content, shoot in Arizona unify health, just dropping that there.
So she, you know, her logo was her baby, it was her everything. And we did marketing sessions together, you know, but she wasn’t ready to let that go. And so I had to help her understand to position in the industry and in your field at this point in time, that was a beautiful starting place. But allowing yourself to evolve and move into that new space sometimes is scary, too, right? So you know, you’re in this space of, you know, you need, you’re ready to move on to something but you’re not exactly ready to let go.
Having someone that is an expert, doing your research, as far as a brand designer, and not just hiring someone that is a graphic designer, or a logo designer, someone that can truly take your brand and create the strategy, for a refresh to be successful to get to the bottom of you know, where’s the disconnect also in your market? And what you know. So what I did with unify, we really went through what she was looking at her competitors now where her new studio was at.
She had this whole vision that was in her head on her Pinterest board that I’m like, yes, we need to do this, we need to make this happen. And we created a full sensory experience for our clients. Hell that now is at every touch point. So that baby logo that you start with, you know, it’s going to get you so far, but when again, you can go back to the experiences and let go a little bit of that initial, you know, part of you and growth and just really claiming the piece of you that’s wanting to come out, you know, sometimes it’s afraid of like the responsibilities that come next.
The things in your business that you’re going to have to shift and pivot to it’s not just this one thing, you know, but then afterwards really going all in and being able to uplevel the experience for your client adding in depth to your brand. Really I love adding in textures. I love exploring sounds like I love asking my clients, even if they’re online space, you know, if you had a storefront? What would this storefront look like from the time your client walks in walks through the doors?
What is the welcome? Smell? What sound is playing? Touching? What are they feeling? And you know, a lot of those things are what’s going to get them to buy. So when it comes to refreshing your brand, really, you have to ask yourself, you know, also mindset like, Am I ready to receive this next level of my business? Is there a disconnect in my brand, I had a client that her brand was built, she’s 10 years into the business. And it was a beauty brand. At the time the trend was black and pink. And that was hot in the beauty industry.
So she had this hot pink and black. And, you know, transitioning she was like I am charging so much more. I need to attract clients that are going to pay these premium prices that match my premium service. And there’s a disconnect, there’s a gap I’m still getting these leads that aren’t quality and they don’t want to pay so there’s a lot of factors when it comes into the refresh when it’s you know, who are we attracting now? Are my prices going up?
Do I need to attract this new client Intel and do I want it to level up to what I’m doing now. So I can lovingly release and let go my initial brands and things that I was doing things that worked for me then to really fully own what I’m doing now and step into big rooms with big branding, I want to invite you to just be in the rooms where women are doing big things they’re going all in. And the only way to do that is to walk through the
Quianna Marie
fire. Yes. Oh, my goodness, I love all of this. And I feel like a lot of us can relate to this. Because sometimes we are stepping into that next chapter. And we’re just not sure right. And especially for a lot of us that have very well established businesses like burning something down to start something fresh is really scary.
I love that you mentioned and it could absolutely still be working right? We could actually still be bringing in an income, creating services and offers for something that is working and kind of like old school status, right? Just like our daddies, our angels would say, yeah, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Like, you know, like, just fix it. It’s fine. I think sometimes as branding businesses, we have to step it up, right? Like we have to open up our arms, and really leave room for magic, something that Felicia always says for us. Yeah, yeah.
Priscilla Sites
In you know, it doesn’t mean completely changing everything, but where are their missed opportunity, it’s just really focusing on the client experience. And in the digital realm, things are ever evolving. You have to be ever evolving. You have to be ready to pivot and ready to give your audience what they’re seeking, what do they want? What do they need, because if not, they’re gonna pass you up to the next one. And you know, that’s going back to your brand values, your values aren’t going to change just because your visuals change, they’re just only going to continue getting better.
Quianna Marie
Oh, that was a mic drop moment right there. That was good. Well, and I also want to kind of unpack and dig a little bit deeper into the concepts of like the brand visuals and McCullers. So for example, the first thing that came to mind was, let’s say you’re a really bubbly person, I’m just making a really blanket statement here. Let’s say you’re really bubbly, you’re loud, you’re full of energy, but you actually have a passion for a tranquil, let’s say, like, spa, right?
Or maybe some of these, like high end injectors, right? So I’m just asking you as the website and brands like expert, where can we kind of either blend those lines together? Or is it actually more beneficial to create a brand that is more like attractive and more magnetic for your ideal clients? like at what point do you decide? Well, you know what, because you know, we, we associate so many things with colors and fonts, and text and textures and smells just like you mentioned with us creating that storefront for our brand. But sometimes they think we want to almost kind of like give ourselves a makeover and attract these dream clients. So what advice would you give to someone that maybe doesn’t quite align personally with their ideal client?
Priscilla Sites
Yes, it’s such a great question, Quianna! So, you know, a lot of the times too, we feel like to different people. And it’s hard to, you know, we have all these personalities, and we don’t want them to just like throw up on our feed, right? Yeah, able to identify, you know, say you’re opening up that spa, but you are a really spunky kind of personality, and you want to be able to open up something more tranquil, more calming, you can open up this sub, it’ll be a sub brand, again, extension of you and a way to merge the two, maybe you actually meditate in your self care routine.
Maybe there’s actually things that are tranquil in your day today, that just because your personality is allowed and out there doesn’t mean you take you don’t take time. I mean, I go I love going to the spa, I love going to get my deep tissue massage girl, I don’t know, if you haven’t gotten a deep tissue, any of you listening, go get your deep tissue, please relieve that tension. But so you know, in order to blend the two, again, you really want to define what it is that these ideal clients are going to value and be attracted to and merging that side of you.
So you don’t have to feel like an imposter when you’re showing up on one platform. But then you’re on this other platform and it’s completely different. So you have a few ways you could do this if you have a color palette for your personal brand. And now this is a sub extension of your brand.
So what we did with Felicia Romero, we built her brand she launched Luna tree nutrition and Luna tree was a sub extension brand, a supplement company she had been dreaming of doing, we toned down the colors. So she has this overall personal brand. But we took the colors and we needed them. And we made it feel a different feeling directed towards that ideal client, you know in that product that she was going to be selling. So that way it aligned with those clients that we’re going to be buying it.
It is very important to have your personal brand, but then again, to have these sub brands that you can attract these people, and that you feel like you can align, again, those values with the visuals to sell. Because if you’re coming up with something tranquil, tranquil, no, you’re not gonna want to be playing like big energy and light.
You’re gonna want to have some songs, but there’s a way to go about it where you can mute the colors, you can take your brand palette, or if it’s the opposite, maybe you’re you know, you’re ready for a change, you’ve been this like brand, when you started you branded on trend, I like to say, because we’re looking at all these other coaches what they’re doing on the inline industry, and like, maybe you branded with some neutrals, and your insides are screaming, and you’re like, I can’t do it anymore, I’m gonna add a pop of color here, you know, you can just add one pop of color and start incorporating it to blend it into your brand.
It doesn’t have to be this whole thing, if you don’t want it to be, you could test the waters and release that inner voice that’s like, let me out, you know, opening that throat chakra, maybe you’ve only been doing one thing in your business and you’re ready to just like, go all in on something else, you know, being able to, to make the choice to go all in on these things at and that’s really where it will match and your audience is going to follow along with you.
You will either attract new clients, and your old clients, some of them may or may not drop off. And that’s okay too, because we don’t want them anymore. We want to attract the people that are going to come to us. So, you know, when it comes to creating that authenticity, just don’t lose yourself and don’t overthink it. Don’t overthink it, either.
There’s you know, there’s a way maybe you’re posting on your feed about all your offers, and you want to start incorporating that spa, for example. start posting videos of you meditating, start your hot girl walks when you’re just in your space in your zen and you’re on your hot girl walk, you know, start showing that side of you. So you don’t feel like an impostor. Because it is you it is what you love. You want to offer that to them because you love it so much. So why would you hide that? Don’t hide?
Quianna Marie
Yes, I love this so much. And this is why I think you’re the perfect expert for this conversation. Because I think, especially when you start a business, like we mentioned earlier, it can be really easy to kind of like subliminally kind of get into that or what does that word subconsciously, kind of get into that copycat mode not even realizing it? Right? Like we’re trying to elevate our stuff? Well, luxury and being an elevated business doesn’t always just mean neutral colors and black, like sharp font, right? Like you can still have luxury with different colors, themes and different things across the gamut. Like really, the options are endless.
Priscilla Sites
I just did a brand actually that she gave me. How did you say her name do lupa? You know, yeah, I don’t want to she’s the you know, she’s like this hip hop artist. She’s like super sleek, sexy. And so I’m building this brand for a retreat and it’s embrace the change or tree Okay, and she wants it also luxury though. She wants it to feel like you’re going to this exotic place but she’s a down to earth girl. And she’s like, I don’t want it to feel like so like stuffy like I’m not like that.
I want them to feel like they’re on this like luxurious retreat, but they also can be themselves. They can dress up and like do their thing and do their brand shoot with me. But then we’re going to do some inner work and we’re going to also dive deep. And also I want it to be fun. So we merged there is a way if you’re working with a brand designer and strategist, they will be able to help you merge all your personalities, all the things you want into one we were able to wrap this brand and it’s so gorgeous.
I was just telling Quianna earlier, I’m jealous of this brand that I built because I love it so much. It is like the perfect mesh of luxury and fun and bright pop colors but also like resort style slash boutique hotel like all of these things like we’re going on a trip but like I got my like I’m about to shoot a hip hop video like yeah So I was able to help her mesh, all of these things, because we dove deep into her brand foundations, we dove deep into her brand values, what her audiences are their values, and what that ICA looks like. So we were able to actually come up with the perfect brand and balance of the two!
Quianna Marie
This is amazing. And I feel like I said before, like, you’re the perfect person for this, because you almost have to be kind of like a medium or like, kind of have a little piece of intuition when you’re working very closely with these businesses and brands, because personalities are coming through, right? They they’re seeing dollar signs, and they’re, they’re easily influenced by certain things. But it takes someone like you to kind of lay it all out on the table, spend some time with them, hear their voice, go over their values and their business missions. And and truly create something that not only expresses who they are today, but also goes to the future, right? We’re like, Wait, we are calling in this next level? And I just think that’s a beautiful thing.
Priscilla Sites
Yes, I can’t tell you how many times like, I’ll have a brand reveal and website reveal. And my clients are like, I have goosebumps, because how did you even know? Just from, like, you just had all the conversations and the brand foundation, you know, I have my clients do a lot of extensive work that sometimes they don’t even think about and the intuition part, I just, I don’t know, I have something thank you to the angels like yadda yadda, by just intuitively I’m able to bring their visions to life. And a lot of the times my clients are like, how did you even know this, like this symbol, I have, you know, this connection to and this means so much more to me now that I’m seeing this in visual and like tangible, and aligning it now to like that part of me.
To me, it’s just so like fulfilling to be able to work with these women. And it’s a ripple effect. Because when I can help instill confidence, visually with this brand for this business owner. They’re excited to show up, they can’t wait to show off their website. They can’t wait to call in their people and step into bigger rooms with bigger mentors, and then growing their business even more because then it’s shedding a little bit shedding a little bit releasing those limiting beliefs overcoming those, you know, but am I this or, again, going back to the playing small? It’s so much more than just investing in your brand. It’s investing in Bing the whole damn vibe. Yes.
Quianna Marie
Oh my gosh. Priscilla, yes, I can talk to you for hours and hours about this stuff. Oh, my goodness. Okay, so I feel, let’s say because I love kind of taking people like even though we’re just on the podcast here, I like taking them through a journey, right. So maybe we’ve already established our offers, we’ve established our brand, we hopefully have already worked with you to kind of kind of tie all these things together. And I would love to hear what your advice would be for someone that needs help finding clarity and the offers that they’re trying to develop? And what does it take for them to truly have a brand and a website that they’re really proud of?
Priscilla Sites
I love this. So your offers, I think that we put a lot of pressure on ourselves and I can relate to this because I just sent Kiana some new offers to help me because I’m like overthinking or I’m so in what I’m doing that I don’t see it from fresh eyes. And I you know, a lot of the times we are so in our business that we forget to take a step out and look at our business as if they were someone just coming across us who didn’t know us.
You know, you could have people that you’ve worked with for you know the longevity of your business. Or a lot of the times there’s people now with social media and all these different platforms, you could be on to expand your reach that you know, taking a step back and going through your process as if you were a client is the best place to start. Because sometimes, you know, I find when I do audits for my clients, I’ll click on their link there’s a link broken well I really wanted that and I really wanted to learn that from this person. But the link isn’t there.
So now I forget about it. I’m scrolling on social media again or I got you know, the dogs need to go be let out there’s all these other things distractions, and you’re missing that captured lead. So really going through and walking the steps from you know, if you’re marketing on social media from the first time that person could see you on the search feed. And maybe they’re looking up a hashtag, and they find you, and then they go to your post, and then that post is going to direct them to where it’s directing them, then they’re going to your feed. So your your Instagram feed is essentially your website before they get to your website.
Really making sure you’re directing your audience where to go and directing them. As far as like, start here, or this is how I help you here. And you know, having a clear bio, and your Instagram, for example, you know, anywhere you’re showing up online, really having clear directions, besides the same thing as if you were to walk into a store, and you have some woman come up to you can I help you today, and you’re a little hesitant because you’re like, Oh, I was just browsing, you know, and I don’t really know. And she’s like, I have the perfect dress for you. Okay, you have to try this on before you leave. And even if you don’t buy it, right, so you try the dress on, you’re like, Damn, she’s good. Like, she really, this fits me.
So good, I can’t not buy this now, right and browse around a little bit more, because you’re like, Oh, it’s a little bit more than I wanted to spend today. And, you know, so you browse around the store a little bit more. And then, you know, you end up looking at it, and you end up buying it because you are so stuck on, you couldn’t get over how well she directed you for something she knew you needed, you didn’t even know you needed.
Then going to the link, then they’re going to click on your links are all your links, you know, showing up correctly on your website, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to a client’s website doing an audit, and they have an offer from when they first started their business. And it’s archaic. They don’t do it anymore, but it’s still there.
Sometimes we forget to give some love and TLC to our websites, because we’re still focused on the marketing and what we’re doing now and the social media that you know, going back again, as an outsider or having a friend having someone you know, one of your business besties. Ask friends, “Hey, I’m gonna throw you a Starbucks gift card, can you let go through my process for me, so I can see where there’s a gap or something not working?” – it’s always a great place to start.
But always just remember to direct your audience where you want them to go. Because more than likely, if they’re not being directed, it’s a lost lead. And they’re gonna go to somebody else who is directing, who is confident in their offer, who is competent, showing up and telling you where to go, what to do, why you need this, and really getting into that relatability of like the ICA.
So, you know, the brand aspect are all wherever you’re showing up online. Also, is it cohesive? Have you updated your Facebook profile? Have you updated your Facebook cover graphic, you know, I feel like Facebook’s the community builder and we have our communities but then we forget to update these little tiny things. And it’s like, oh, graphic from like, five years ago and your clients like am I in the group? I don’t know. You know, yeah, sure.
All the pieces no matter where you show up, whether that’s on social media, Instagram, Facebook, tik, Tok, LinkedIn, wherever you are, you know, having a cohesive branded a headshot, Kiana is gonna get you those headshots and those content shoots. So making sure you have a picture across your streams and channels that are the same. So they know that’s my girl. I know that’s the same girl. I know, that’s not a fake account, trying to be her, um, really aligning everything, making sure your fonts, your colors, everything’s updated if you update it on one piece.
Quianna Marie
So I mean, I think as long as you have that, as you said, like updating it, giving direction, I love how you mentioned the client journey. I mean, this is everything. Like we can shout out the rooftops how much we can help somebody either with our services or offers or programs. And, but if they’re not on that client journey, and they’re not actually like clickable for you, like if you cannot lead them, then they’re just gonna maybe consume your content and keep scrolling.
Priscilla Sites
Exactly. And they may forever be a freebie opt in. Yeah, they may, you know, they know you’re gonna give all these freebies, but there’s no direction after that. So, you know, really just taking that time and booking in your calendar just as if you were your own client, and I’m guilty of this myself. So I’m right there with you, girl. But making sure you know, I started making Monday’s my CEO days. And I can’t tell you how much I’ve loved just being able to focus on my business for that one day. And sometimes I get anxiety because the Monday I’m like, Oh, I have all these projects and clients but I’m like, No, just the same as I’m putting myself first in the morning. I’m not looking at my emails. I’m not Getting out my DMs, I’m not looking at anything in the mornings is my time and I’m getting my mindset I’m getting my day started, whether that’s movement or whatever, I need meditation.
Same thing as my Mondays now I’m committing to myself and my business. And it’s so important to create that boundary for yourself to grow and expand, and being proud of your brand and website, you’re not going to get there. If you don’t create the space to get there. It’s going to stay the same until you choose to not stay the same. Yes.
Quianna Marie
Oh my goodness, I love this so much. So please share with us Priscilla, a little bit about your programs and your offers, if someone is interested and thinking, Whoa, okay, I need to like tap into this intuition here. I’ll have ki do my photos. And then Priscilla is gonna help with website and branding. Like, how can people work with you?
Priscilla Sites
So we’re the dynamic duo. So definitely get your photos first, because it helps me build your vision of your website. And yes, I so right now I have what is called reputation rehab. And maybe you started with DIY, you made your own landing page for your program, or you know, you have something that you did yourself or you outsource when you first started, and this program has really grown and you’re not calling in the right clients anymore, or you really want to actually up the price, because you’ve now you’ve spent so much time and you’re like, Okay, I need to make this a premium price.
Now, I’m going to help you to rebrand, refresh and get that reputation where it needs to be. So we’re going to rehab your DIY or even if you had it done prior by a different designer, we’re going to really look at what the gaps are. And we’re going to make a luxe program brand where when your clients see this, there is no way they’re not going to buy from you. And I also have, I just am so obsessed with the ultimate CEO.
I love helping my clients with so many facets in the online realm in their presence. With the ultimate CEO, we’re going to have a full sensory brand. And this is adding textures that depth to make sure that you stand out and have this luxury style. And it doesn’t have to like when you when I say luxury, it doesn’t have to mean like this diamond like I know sometimes like this Lux is a little bit like I don’t know if I like want that. When I say luxury, I mean the experience, I want your client experience to match your brand and match your vibe. So we’re going to have a full sensory brand experience and not just a logo, but we’re going to actually make this interactive babies.
We have the brand and website, I’m going to have an interactive website for you, I you show it I know Kiana goes to the show it there in Arizona, I want to go and take, um, but you’re going to have your full brand experience your websites, and then also showing up on social media. So I don’t like to just give my clients their brand and their website elements and like, okay, here you go, I’m done, I’m gonna, you know, I’m going to actually make sure you get lead generation you’ve invested, I want you to get your ROI. So I’m going to actually sit down with you and we’re going to brainstorm a marketing launch promotion for your business that’s going to align with your brand in website launch.
That way, we’re going to ensure that you get leads right off the bat when you launch your website. So that’s really what differentiates me from other competitors online as well. And working with a brand strategist and designer, I’m going to help you not only launch this dream of a brand and website, but I’m going to help you to market to lead gen and make sure you get conversion for that ROI. Because I know as a business owner, the investments are ever growing and go, you know, and having on brand graphics for your social media.
So with that package, you’re going to have these Canva templates that is going to be on brand so I’m going to have your program launch graphics that then you can copy and Canva and create the rest of your graphics for longevity of your brand and website launch. And Kiana and I actually are meeting up next month because I have something in the works behind the scenes all about what we were talking today about playing small and I can’t wait to release that to you all but for now. You can follow me at Priscilla dot sights on Instagram.
My mindful armor creative is also the business Instagram and mindful armor.co for a website you can get to me on all my links on Instagram. chat with me. I would love to have a console we can talk about ways to work together or what gaps are missing. We can do all sorts of things together to co create What you are envisioning,
Quianna Marie
that is amazing Priscilla. And I know, I know, like, this is a podcast, but I hope you can feel the energy, I hope you can actually feel like if you’re listening right now, I hope you can actually feel this confidence that’s just pouring out of Priscilla, like this light beam that is just ready to let you up. And I feel like that’s really important when you can align with your brand designer and your website, creator, and just your whole like essence of your business and your brand.
When you are working with someone like Priscilla that has that confidence, right. And it’s not just because you’re so happy and bubbly, right? Like that is in addition to your personality that we all love. But I do feel like when you’re investing with someone, like you need someone that you know, can do it, right that like has the confidence in their work that is going to push you and be your height girl and be your cheerleader to truly align yourself with that brand that you are creating. And I’m just so so grateful
Priscilla Sites
100% When you are researching, whatever you’re doing for your brand and your business, make sure that you’re aligned to again, you’re aligning your values to their values, because they built their brand off of their values. And that is so important because you want to work with someone that you align with, you know, they’re going to bring this vision to life, whether it’s your content, photos with piano, or your brand new websites with me. You know, you want to make sure that you are 100% confident in who you’re investing in also.
That’s really what mindful armor intention, how I came up with that mindful is to be intentional about your decision making, and intentional what you’re doing armor to protect your dreams. Because a lot of the times we go through life and like there’s so many things that happen that ebbs and flows, and we sometimes forget to protect what our vision is. So really with mindful armor creative, I want it to be your accountability and your hype girl and your go to to make sure that you fulfill these dreams, and that you have a handle hold while you’re going through it.
Quianna Marie
Amazing. I’m so grateful for your friendship for your spirit and for your connection. So I love asking every guest that pops on to the podcast. I would love to know your yours, Priscilla. So what key tip would you like to share today is there’s something that you wish you knew sooner as a business owner,
Priscilla Sites
it’s normal to experience limiting beliefs. And it’s normal to have those self doubts and resistance to show up. When you know we’re in our businesses. If we’re starting out launching new offers pivoting, there’s always going to be that like little layer that is holding us back. So something I’m so happy that I did initially was invest in mentorship.
I was in a mastermind I was in Felicia and Annette a mastermind and that’s where I really, I had their belief in me. And they were like, oh my god, like we didn’t even know you did this. And you’re amazing. And just having that secondary person that I it really opened up my own belief system and the mindset as far as like, I can do this, and I don’t need to work this nine to five that’s draining my soul anymore, I can actually do this.
I think like turning off the noise. And like focusing on your own systems, focusing on your offers. And what you’re doing is super important also, because, you know, if I didn’t put myself in these rooms with these women, if I didn’t invest in myself and what I was doing in, I would have never had those little little tiny voices that said, you can do this, this is the how you don’t need to know this right now. I’m going to help you with this.
I think, you know, not being afraid to invest in mentorship is so so important. And also just like, it’s so hard, you know, I have so many drafts in my Instagram but it’s from you know, real as well. But when you can just position yourself and remind yourself that you are the expert that just because you know xy and z in this industry doesn’t mean that there’s a whole other audience and world out there that doesn’t know about anything that you know about. So I think my biggest piece of advice is to put yourself in rooms with women in you know, or if you’re a man listening to this in those rooms of where you want to be and the investment is going to come back in 10 fold.
Quianna Marie
Yes. Oh my gosh. And I feel like this is the perfect I know you mentioned earlier how a lot of us go through seasons and this right now I’m in a huge growth spurt like I literally I’m getting emotional sharing this because I just launched my mini course, I’m stepping into the education realm. I’ve been educating photographers for a decade, right? Like, this is not new to me. But the whole online education like actually releasing courses and digital products is new.
It’s really scary. And I have my own limiting beliefs about it. So I’m just so grateful for you Priscilla for sharing your wisdom, sharing your heart and helping us each of us believe in ourselves. Like this is where it starts, right? The root of our business and the root of our brand starts with us. And then we get to connect with others to truly like, have them show us the light that that they see in us. And that I think is a beautiful, beautiful gift.
Priscilla Sites
