In case you’re new here to the party, welcome, babe. I’m Quianna, your small business cheerleader with really, really big dreams. Country music is the soundtrack of my life. I love breakfast for dinner. I cry literally every wedding and I love to dance in the kitchen. As soon as I pick up my fork and indulge in the first bite. I also do a little happy dance in my seat.
Before charcuterie boards were cool, I was eating them for every holiday and twice on Sunday, except in my family we call them aunty pasta dishes, or just cheese and salami plates. I have a Native American and Sicilian blood are running through my veins, which luckily it gives me great skin and thick brown hair. But Thanksgiving traditions are always a little bit complex and not gonna lie, very confusing. I love taking pictures but love bringing people together, hosting and sharing memories even more. My best ideas come to me while I’m driving.
If I go missing, don’t panic until you’ve looked in my room because as a projector, I often need my rest and I love to escape for quick naps. I love my baby girl phase. She is a German Shepherd I’ve been praying for for a long time. And I literally named her faith to remind me every day that we got to have a little faith. I’m sharing all of this to hopefully create a connection, share some similarities, and maybe even some differences with you.
For today’s episode, I’m stoked to reintroduce myself to you to remind you that it’s your turn. With so many pivots, changes and new offers you’re working on it’s time for some updated introductions, you now have some new friends and followers coming into your world daily. And believe it or not many of these introduction ideas are actually geared towards your current following and everyone that you already know in your world. Let’s break down a quick inspiration list for you to use as Kickstarters for your content calendar this quarter, literally right now. Drop them daily, weekly or monthly.
It’s time for you to reintroduce yourself to your audience.
Welcome to Quianna Marie weekly, a podcast for creatives who love to celebrate wins, big or small by dancing in the kitchen photographers who are excited to serve their clients and friends who are ready to chase really, really big dreams.
You can find all of the resources mentioned in this episode at quiannamarie.com/podcast. Join me as I share weekly motivation, chat about growing pains, finding genuine connections and celebrating your wins through the lens of a photographer at heart. Come join me for a dance party ready loves though. I want you to think about your closest friends and family, you know the ones that actually call you on your birthday, the friend that picks you up from the airport, or the friends from college that are buzzing in your text message group chat, I’m willing to bet that your people couldn’t even define your job title or even know exactly what you do.
Maybe some will get it right, or be able to refer you to a friend with what they think they know what you do. But many of our closest family and friends probably won’t even be able to describe what you do now. Not what you got your degree in. Not that you’re an entrepreneur. But what exactly are you selling these days? If your people don’t know, how do you even expect random strangers on the internet to know, this is why it’s time for some introduction updates some fresh ideas.
I want to keep this episode super short, but impactful, mostly because I’d love for you to share at least one of these ideas today. Yes, I’m challenging you to share one of these introduction ideas right now, or at least before you fall asleep tonight. Let’s break down these ideas into two sections. First, for personal posts, and the second for business. Now I love when we can blend them. And I always love gearing every piece of content towards some type of either educational or just kind of like business mindset. But I would really challenge you to keep these totally separate.
So personal or strictly personal. And then business, of course, are business ideas. So let’s break them down. Personal number one, a list of wishes. What do you wish right now, if you could just snap your fingers and have something in your hands? What would it be? List out? It could be one wish it could be 2345 wishes you can ask if there was a genie and I have three wishes right now what would they be and get creative, right? It could be something you love to drink.
Maybe something that you love to live or somewhere you love to travel to think of things outside of your box that are really, really personal to you. Number two things you can’t live without. So this could be something as dramatic as your family as your dog or your cat. Or maybe it’s your favorite chapstick, your diet coke. I don’t know like I don’t even drink Diet Coke.
I don’t know why I said that. But some things that you can’t live without. Once again it could be one thing. It could be 10 things if that you have a lot of things that you can’t live without right. Think of those things that are super personal to you. Number three, your biggest fears. I love this one because they can be once again as true Magic as you want, like afraid of snakes, afraid of heights, afraid of losing someone you love. These are all very dramatic and relatable fears. But maybe over dramatize something where you fear having a bad hair day when you have a podcast interview or you fear just things that are part of your daily life that really aren’t a big deal, right?
Running out of coffee or running out of your favorite creamer, things that are just kind of like first world problems, things that people can relate to this, this would this would be important.
Number four, share about your pets. So I love this one, because I actually do a couple like zoom calls with my brides with my couples. And even with my like my content clients, and I’ve had faith for almost a year, she’s 10 months or 11 months old down. And her birthday is May 1. There are so there’s still some people in my world that don’t even know I have a dog. Right? And you think about it.
I haven’t posted about her in a while. And obviously, we know that only about 3% of our following actually sees what we post, but share about your pets share about why you name them what you name them, do they have a name, but then you actually call them five different nicknames that have nothing to do with their name, right?
These are all once again, super personal and things that people can relate to, that have nothing to do with your job or your services. Number five, your bucket list items. These are just really fun ideas that you would love to do. Right.
So like, like I mentioned before with your wishes, right? Like, where would you like to travel to? Is there something that you’ve always wanted to do? Maybe just by yourself? Or maybe with your family or a group of friends? Share them? What are some of the ideas on your bucket list, I’ll share mine really fast. I have just one quick one to share. I actually dream of wearing a white cotton dress and jumping off like off a cliff into the Mediterranean Sea.
Like I just I just see like actually wearing the dress. I just obviously I hope it’s like a light dress. I don’t like sink, or anything crazy. But I just love to just who like just jump off into the water and just swim in the Salt Sea. Like that’s just, that’s just sounds amazing. All right, let’s roll into business ideas for some introductions.
Number one, share about your services and offers. I know that sounds ridiculous and kind of a dull moment. But do it okay, like when is the last time that you shared a post, a reel, or anything that said, Hey, these are the different ways that you can work with me, this is what’s coming up. This is what I’ve always done. And this is a new project I’m working on. Believe it or not, people don’t know what the heck you’re doing. We are experiencing a lot of pivots, changes, updates and switches, even maybe within our own industry, or maybe you’re completely jumping ship and going to a completely different industry, but still kind of doing the same thing. Right?
Like whatever that looks like. Now is the time to introduce yourself and share your services and offers number to introduce your clients. This is such an easy way to introduce the people you love the people that have worked with you, and the ones that actually have really awesome things to say about you. But here’s the trick, introduce them and share a couple of fun facts about them. Share how you met share experiences or fun stories that kind of like went down while you guys were working with each other.
I love sharing the behind the scenes of Crush your content shoots, making my clients feel loved and inspired in the moment, but then also introducing them to my people and to my community to say hey, if you need a wellness coach, you need to check out this girl if you need a realtor, here’s a list of my favorites, right. So you’re already generating a ton of content and shareable content, just by sharing and introducing a couple of your favorite clients.
Right, you can do this for each of your clients. You can do this for I call them my like VIPs like the ones that I’m working with monthly to showcase them, highlight them and share your appreciation. There’s literally a gazillion different ways that you can highlight an introduce your clients.
So I challenge you to do that. I can’t wait to see what you post number three podcasts are listening to this week. So I love when people post, hey, this is what’s in my ear. This is what I’m doing or even just like maybe they’re doing the dishes or walking their dog and they’re listening to a podcast. So you can create a post where you’re sharing your favorite podcasts. Maybe it’s like a list of five or 10 or even just the one that you’re most excited about that you just got introduced to from a friend. It could be like just linking them to the entire podcast or maybe a very specific episode that you would love to share that maybe had an aha moment.
Guys, this is so easy. We’re already doing this. We just need to share it okay. And if you post and share the Quianna Marie weekly podcasts of course I would be forever grateful especially if you are getting value from the podcast. I hope others will as well. So anytime any type of sharing or reviews is like I just won I give you a hug and a kiss on the cheek. So thank you.
Number four recent business investments. So this is a big one, okay? It could be something as simple as investing in a new chair, I have a friend, Dawn with tech Creative Studios. And she like she has this whole saga of US office chair that she had gone through. And I’m sure they may be in her highlights or something, or past posts to share her. But I love following that story, right? Like that was an investment for her business. And to think, Oh, that was just an office chair.
Like, we don’t think about that. Right. So that’s something fun to share. It could be a new gear, it could be a new laptop, it could be even a new outfit that you’re excited to wear for an upcoming speaking event, or to your next wedding.
Did you get new shoes? Did you get new wedding shoes, like as a photographer, like, that’s really cool, because you are going to be like, go super fast on wedding days, right? Like, I think that’s awesome. But once again, taking it back to business, like taking everyday things that you use a new love. But applying that to how it can be a business investment is going to be a really, really easy like introduction, or get to know me post number five, education and future conferences. So this kind of goes like a piggy back to the business investments.
But I love sharing about recent workshops, conferences, and educational opportunities. Even if I’m just like watching a webinar. This is a great way for your clients, for your family, friends and your following to see that you’re alive, you’re in business, and you’re constantly sharpening your tools, right. So these are all just really easy ways that you can pop up and claim it.
I want you to take up space, I want you to feel seen. And your dream clients like they need to see if you write like so I hope you find this episode inspiring, actionable and fun. I actually have a gift for you. So it’s a free download. It’s a freebie. It’s 40 Friday introductions. And in fact, I’m totally dating myself here. But it used to be really trending as they last like, or maybe like five years ago or so to do Friday post.
So every Friday, it was like huge hashtag Friday introductions, and this is kind of how this all spiraled into this conversation today. People were getting new followers, people were boosting engagement, it was a great way to introduce yourself, share some fun facts about you. So I developed a total free guide for you. It’s 40 Friday introduction.
So if you like these 10, I have 30 more ideas for you. Plus a handful of really easy things that you can look forward to, for building really genuine content that connects. I love sharing content that makes people feel something that makes people not just like want to work with me but want to be inspired. Let’s go out and live their truth and live their best life. So that’s really important to me, and I try my hardest to create content that leads to that instead of just blasting my life online. Right. So I hope you find this guide to be super helpful. Check out the link in my show notes. And yeah, I hope hope you have a great day.
And please, please, please tag me in those introductions. If you tag me I will absolutely engaged. I will comment, hopefully reshare if I see them in time, and I’m just I’m always cheering for you behave. I want to know about you. So keep on shining baby. Hope you have a great week.
