All right, all right, it is that time of year it is the holidays, whether we are ready for it or not, it is time to start considering some holiday gifts presents and just get into the joy of the holidays. Now if you’re anything like me, I have been gifting photos since I can remember. In fact, that’s pretty much how my business really got started. I was in high school, and I used to literally just gift my friends, a photo of some type of event, something that they had may have forgotten about that had happened that year. And I went to the dollar store, picked up a handful of frames and talking literally back then it was just $1.
It’s not even like today, or it’s $1.25. And I would just collect a whole bunch of rooms. And if I was feeling really fancy, I would hot glue, some rhinestones on the frames, some cute sayings and all the things to make them look real flashy, this was a thing back then. And that’s what I would give my friends and family. In fact, they would expect it right. So I would typically put them in a cute little box or a bag and they would just they would just assume that there was a picture in there. And they were always anticipating that photo and to see what it was. And I loved it.
That’s literally what got me started. Anyway, I just want to share the power of gifting photographs. We are living in such a digital age where our photos are living on our Facebook walls, when they should be living and breathing in our homes and in the walls of our hallways. So let’s say you are maybe looking to save some money this year or you just want to be a little bit more intentional with your gift giving. That’s what that episode is about.
You have some beautiful photos and you want to give them to your family. But you’re not too sure exactly how to do that. And what is the best way to share your photos. Okay, sometimes just a card with a handwritten note with a photograph slipped in can mean the world to someone you love. In today’s episode, I’m going to share a handful of creative, unique and priceless gifts that you can wrap for the holidays that will last a lifetime.

These days, we can print our photos on literally anything blankets, coffee mugs, T shirts, wood blocks, puzzles, and we can even have them displayed on a screen on our shelves that digitally change. And they can be updated from around the world. So I mean, just imagine the odd that you can give to your grandfather, when you have a cute little photo display up on his shelf, maybe it’s on his kitchen counter. And then all of your cousins and aunts and uncles and even your nieces and nephews they have access to technology. Now these days, they could figure out how to change those images. I mean, it is just the coolest thing ever. And it can help update your family and friends if you’re living all across the world. So let’s start by sharing some affordable options.
Okay, I have this whole episode broken down into kind of different price point ideas, and then you can run it from there. So I’ll first share just a handful of just blanket statement ideas that you can share for these different price points.
And then at the end of the episode, stay tuned because I’m going to share exactly my favorite website that I actually ordered these from!
Let’s start with the $25 or less get now remember, you literally can print a photo for 14 to I don’t know what it is maybe it’s 20 cents.
Now there everything is increasing. But you can literally print a photo for less than $1. Okay, just an actual photo. And I just want to remind you that that alone can be the priceless gift that you need. So don’t feel like you have to spend a lot of money but I want to start a little bit more of an affordable price. For 25 bucks or less. Obviously, we can do a printed photo frame, some canvas prints, I have a couple websites that I recommend that you can print a canvas print for 20 bucks or less. It’s just great quality and really affordable. Coffee mugs. If you have someone that is always on their phone, maybe you can remind them by creating a phone case with their favorite people on there and think Hey, in case you forgot, maybe you should spend more time with people that you love instead of on your phone. So a phone case is fun.
Magnets or buttons, playing cards. Wouldn’t it be so cute to gift that one person in your family that loves game night or that always has a deck of cards out at camping trips or when you guys are just gathering for Sunday suppers? Like how fun would it be to have your family members on the back of those playing cards, such a great conversation starter. holiday ornaments are also on this list for $25 or less. luggage tags. That’s a great idea if or your favorite traveler who’s always on the road, adding just a sweet little, just kind of another helpful reminder. Or maybe they’re getting frustrated, where they’re flying and maybe missing things. But hey, they have a little picture of their y on their luggage. I think that’s so cute.
Postcards. I included this in this $25 or less thing. So if you have someone that loves sending correspondence, or just love stationery, how cute would it be to customize some postcards for them. And maybe those are photos that just landscape photos, beautiful flowers, or maybe even their favorite people. I am a huge fan of sending happy mail and snail mail. So I would love getting a deck of postcards. In fact, some of my girlfriend’s to this day still give me postcards, and I love sending them back to them.
It’s so fun. Okay, a couple more, we have mini photo stickers. So if you have a sticker enthusiast, AKA a little person in your life that loves pictures, and stickers, wouldn’t it be so cute to combine them, right, so I love that idea for a super affordable gift.
I also added this to maybe even a cute photo holder. So I imagine they have some really cute kits on Amazon where it just looks like a clothing line kind of where they have cute little string lights, and cute little clothespins kind of little metal clips that people can string on their walls in their bedroom, or down their hallway or something, it just looks like cute string lights, or maybe even some super cute blocks. So I’ve seen where it’s like a cute little figurine or a swirl or just kind of this little like photo holder, it just looks like a little like almost like a paperweight kind of it’s kind of hard to explain, but then it just has like a little metal thing that holds the photo. And that’s so perfect for our families that are working from home and have a little makeshift desk somewhere, or, of course something that they can take into the office.
Alright, so now we’re going to pop into the $50 or less ideas. And these are so fun. So if you have a young family that you think would totally love puzzles, this is a great gift. And there’s a lot of families that I love that I like, let’s just say my friends, for example, where I’m not going to be spending a whole bunch of money on a gift from my best friend, a gift for her husband and a gift for their three kids.
I’m just not in a space to financially do that would I love to do that, of course. And I have really great ideas that I would love to give each of those kids. But I love giving family gifts. So puzzles are great for that, especially if I can customize it. coasters are fun, too. I know Shutterfly has a really great price on these as well. You may even be able to slip it into the $25 or less category.
But I added coasters in there because sometimes those customizations can be a little more pricey. Blankets, blankets are so fun for non SGGS and our favorite grandparents, they’re gonna love them. It’s just a great idea to kind of just make a collection of the grandkids and even recently engaged couples like I don’t know, I think it’s super extra.
Hhow fun would it be to have a random throw of like all of your fun reception dancing photos, like who prints those and who actually hangs was on their walls. But how fun would it be to just have a whole bunch of random photos like that when you’re just cuddling up on the couch. Super cute. Custom calendars are also on the $50 or less category, I love gifting calendars to family and friends dropped the ball a couple times on gifting them for my mom that used to be a gift for her every year. So that’s something that I would love to work on for her. But it’s just so fun. Because once again, you can get really creative with making sure that you’re customizing those photos for your family albums are on here. So of course I’m sure you can find some cheaper ones. But I would say you’re looking at anywhere between 30 bucks is a good average 30 to $50.
For a decent, I would say an album that you can print from like Shutterfly in pics, or there’s a couple other programs that I would use for creating albums. But I would look at that like $50 range for that. Jewelry, photo necklaces, lockets or bracelets, this is another great way to customize those photos that just make it really sweet and really sentimental. And then of course, you could always print on wood or create some metal prints. Those are gorgeous. And I just think they’re they’re just really fun. And then of course canvases. So the larger you go with these canvases, the more expensive they’re going to be. But that doesn’t mean that they’re not affordable, right?
So even for 50 bucks or less, that’s still a great deal.
Okay, and then rolling into $100 or less. Once again, canvases and frame prints. You can get really fancy with that. We’re talking about just like a gorgeous Canvas set. So maybe you’re gifting a handful of canvases or some frame prints, but those would get pretty pricey quick, but they’re beautiful and they last a lifetime. And then I also have a digital frame in here as well.
So did you all frames are so fun. I know I mentioned them at the beginning of the episode. But it’s just such a great way, especially if you have a family member who isn’t around you all the time. Maybe they live far away. And they just want to be able to see your smiling faces, your family and even friends. Like maybe you’re you aren’t shopping for a whole bunch of little kids and your family, right? Maybe you are just shopping for your friends, like, how fun would it be to like send them really fun messages and just kind of like mess with them, right, I just have it be so fun. So don’t think that these photo gifts are just for like your personal family and like little kids.
And then of course, I have another item for you, which are daily calendars on your desk. These are so fun. So especially if you are maybe gifting like a whole wedding series for a recently engaged couple or just family fun adventures. How fun would it be to have so when I say those daily calendars are like a little block of images that has the date on it, and then you just used to rip them off every day. And then you still have it’s like a nice cardstock of that image. So it’s just a great way to do that and to share images and to just be reminded of your adventures.
All right, well, I hope you found this to be really helpful. I love sharing some unique and different and creative gifts. Honestly just have fun. I’m going to share with you a handful of my two actually just my two very, very favorite websites that I purchased from so you’re going to want to check out it’s called Social print studio. And M like Michael mpix.com.
Those honestly are my to go twos for printing either images or photo gifts. They’re my favorite. The social print studio is so fun, because they even have really cute like photo film strips, you can just print a bundle like I’ve even gifted, like so for Mikey and Lauren, for example, my brother and his new wife, just as like a little wedding gift slash birthday gift. I picked up a box from Hobby Lobby. And I literally just printed a whole bunch of photos. And I use the social print studio app for that. Because they’re just they’re just so easy to print. And they’re good quality stuff, too.
So yeah, so check that out, you may be inspired. And there may even be some other photo gifts that I didn’t even need to mention on here, which is awesome to see. And then of course the the Impex products are so fun. They’re super high quality. They’re very affordable.
Google fun things, like just Google fun print ideas, you’re going to be amazed with all the different types of ways that you can actually print something, right. So I hope you found this helpful. Please, please please, if you got anything from this episode, I just highly encourage you to print your images. There is nothing nothing more magical than actually holding your memories right. So let’s get out of this like digital age get back in time where we are preserving and holding our memories. So hope you have a beautiful holiday.
