If you’re anything like me I’m sure you often times arrive early to meetings, shoots or anything really! I used to live up a dirt road about 15 miles from the nearest freeway… so everywhere I go I just naturally tack on an additional 30 minutes, just in case!
So with that mindset I find myself sitting and waiting in my car a lot! With all this time on my hands I came up with some tasks that I could get done while sitting on my butt!
1. Â Re-Apply Make Up
This may sound silly, but after a full day of meetings, adventures and events it can really take a toll on my face! So I love to have that extra time to reapply mascara and lip gloss. Maybe even add a swipe of blush to liven up those cheeks! It may even been a good time to readjust that top knot to minimize fly aways or even let your hair fall down! Presentation is everything and it’s important to make that first impression count!
Here’s what’s in my bag on the go: Mascara | Chapstick | Face
2. Play Catch Up on Education and Spread Some Love on Instagram
Use this time to catch up on instastories, read some inspiring blogs and take about 10 minutes to “like” and make some genuine comments on instagram. Start some conversations and give what you want to receive. Even if it’s just for a couple minutes, it could totally make someone’s day!
Here’s what I listen to/watch in the car: Natalie Franke | Jenna Kutcher
3. Keep Blank Thank You Notes In Your Car
Call me old school, but I always keep thank you notes in my car and love to send snail mail smiles! This is the perfect opportunity to say hello to a friend, thank a recent vendor or just hand write a love note to your mom! This simple act of kindness will significantly change your mood and make you feel bubbly and happy inside, I promise!
I LOVE making my own customizable notes from here: Minted
In the hustle and bustle of life, why not make every moment count! When all else fails… take a nap! Seriously though… keep a book on hand, find some shade and relax!
Hopefully these tips help!
I’ll be cheering for you!
XOXO, Quianna
