Having the opportunity to photograph client’s weddings brings me all of the feels. The laughter, the sweet love stories and once in a life time memories quickly turn clients into lasting friends. Now imagine those warm and fuzzy feelings with the ones I love!?
With a camera in my hand I literally have a back stage pass and have the ability to capture all of the behind the scenes details that guests never even get to witness… until the photos roll out! Spending time with my loved ones getting ready, sharing the nervous jitters and sweet prayers before the ceremony bring me the most joy. All of the details and surprises throughout the day are my favorite!
As the photographer I am right up in the middle of everything (or zooming in from across the room!) and I am fully present during all of the traditions and memories. Even with a camera glued to my hand and shoved in front of my face it’s like I have front row seating to everything! I get to see it all through my creative eye and make it last for generations.
Do I get to get have a couple glasses of wine and dance the night away?
No. But in my element I’ve already hit a natural high and always find time to wiggle and break into happy dances throughout the day! (No joke. I’m that excited. All. Day. Long.)
Do I wish I could just relax and enjoy the day?
Of course. Weddings are so much fun… but as my beard knows I get anxious and it’s seriously a chore to relax. I can’t keep my eye off the photographer and I have anxiety knowing I am missing the bridal portraits and various moments throughout the day. I just want to be included in everything!
Point being… I love photographing weddings. Weddings of strangers. Friends. Even my own family members. I once was a maid of honor and photographer for my best friends wedding! Seriously, that was one of the happiest days of my life so far. It takes work, but there’s no where else I’d rather be than capturing the love and lasting memories of the ones I love most.
I swear I have the best job in the world.
With Love, Quianna Marie
