This last Saturday I had the privilege of photographing Dawson + Andi’s wedding in Andi’s parent’s backyard! Nestled in the foothills of East San Jose, Andi’s childhood home was the perfect setting for their organic, warm and intimate wedding.
Dawson and Andi met about 10 years ago while they were showcasing their 4H animals at the fairgrounds. According to the stories surrounding them it was love at first sight. Through the years of many different addresses and often times long distance phone calls their hearts pulled their strings to be within each other’s arms again. And now forever!
When it was time to purpose Dawson’s adorable nieces helped with the surprise! Holding up a sign to surprise their new Auntie Andi with one very important question…
Of course she said, “YES!”
With all the hustle and bustle in the air prior to the ceremony I felt like I was in a real life movie, similar to “Father of the Bride”! Even with all the anticipation and excitement in the air Andi’s father held it together. Mr. Spampinato was cool, calm and collect… anxiously waiting for the caterers and whole heartily happy to gain a son that day.
Although their ceremony was short and sweet… there wasn’t a dry eye in the house (backyard)!
…And just like that they became Mr. and Mrs. Giles!
October 3, 2015 Dawson celebrated his birthday by getting married! Talk about the best birthday present, ever!
Andi you are stunning! Love is looking good on YOU!
Their reception dinner was catered by The BBQ Boys and oh boy were they delicious!
Dawson’s best man (and little brother) Dillon shared great memories and had the whole reception in stitches!
Andi’s maid of honor and little sister Kami shared the most heart felt and sweet speech on the fly! Everyone was a little nervous that she didn’t have any notes or a cheat sheet on her phone. Kami kept defending herself and knew she had the confidence to pull it off and oh WOW did she deliver. Kami shared sweet stories about how Andi taught her how to love unconditionally and how Dawson taught her through his actions how a boy should love a girl. She thanked them both for so much love, support, and guidance to know the value of love and respect in a relationship, which has helped her set the bar high for her new fiancé! (Who by the way is only lucky, guy!)
Once again there were tons of laughs and tears of joy!
They even had a super retro photo booth bus! This AWESOME bus came all the way from Utah!
Instead of a traditional cake Andi + Dawson opted for some delicious ice cream sandwiches from Maven’s Creamery!
The rest of the evening they danced the night away with their family and close friends!
Love truly was contagious with this blend of families! I wish both Andi + Dawson a lifetime of love and happiness. May they always look at each other the way they did on their wedding day!
With love, Quianna Marie
